Jump up is certainly a good option too, personaly think I like the other two more though.

Doubles for a WE tree? Block and Jump-Up are great. Personally, my tree seems to be targetted by Big Guys fairly often, and Block becomes less useful therefore (as the opposing Big Guy creates a turnover if he chooses both down.)

So Jump-Up really performs well.

I have often wondered if a Guard + Side Step tree might be ideal for the team though? Obviously useless once you take root, but many times great if you never even throw a block.

I would use grab over guard for the OTT on a treeman.
So said the guy with over 40 OTT's!

Thanks for all the tips, guys. I guess the treeman is really good at drawing fire, and even against players who try to ignore them, it's a 9 square area of dodging and potential thwacking they have to take into consideration.

Jump up seems like a pretty solid pick for the treeman. Like someone else said - a treeman lying down does the wood elves no good.... and they only stand up on a 4+, which is pretty terrible.
