Alternate Nurgle Team
Whenever we're doing some gaming with multiple players, the oft heard comment about me is
"So, Steffen's gonna play Nurgle, right?"
"Dunno, better check"
"Nah, he'll play Nurgle"
I've always been a great fan of Nurgle. I have a rather large Death Guard army (from when DG actually existed as such........), a Carnival of Chaos, some Nurgle BFG ships, a fantasy Nurgle Daemonic Legion, a Nurgle's Rotters team (the first I built, before I knew the rules for BB) and so on.
So, I was reading some of the old teams, back when Nurgle was 0-16 Beastmen and 0-4 Rotters, and man, were the Rotters awesome. I liked their special eliteness, so I decided to write a whole new team, just for the fun of it, and maybe play a few games with it. Anyway, would you like to rate it? Bear in mind, I don't mean for anyone to take it seriously, I'm just a Nurgle fan. Anyway, here goes.
0-16 Nurglings 50.000 5 2 3 7 Dodge, Foul Appearance (cloud of flies thing), Regeneration, Stunty AM/GSP
0-4 Pestigors 80.000 6 3 3 8 Horns, Regeneration GSM/AP
0-4 Rotters 4 4 2 9 Four Appearance, Disturbing Presence, Regeneration 110.000 GSM/AP
For the Nurglings, I drew heavy inspiration from Halflings. I started with their stats, then added one point of AV and Regeneration to reflect Nurgle's classic resilience. I figure this would increase their cost by 20.000.
I simply took the Pestigors from the current LRB to act as "average" players stats-wise, just to have someone to handle the ball.
I took the Rotters straight out of LRB 2 or 3, can't remember. I really like this incarnation of Rotters. They're basically just toned down Warriors from the LRB team. Should they go down to 100.000, since they lack Disturbing Presence?
So, what do you think?

AM is very powerful for a Stunty. A/M is much more like it.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

So I should go for A /GSPM? What about adding Decay and removing Foul Apprearance to lower the Nurglings to 40.000? I think 50.000 is just over the top for a Stunty, really.

Sorry, I didn't notice that.
0-4 Rotters 110.000 4 4 2 9 Foul Appearance, Regeneration.
I think they should go down to 100.000 because they're basically Nurgle Warriors without Disturbing Presence.

Hence the Rotters should have Disturbing Presence and Foul Appearance.Darkson wrote:They had Dist P, it was all part of FA. The LRB4 FA was split into two "skills" (FA and DP) for LRB5.TeamTræls wrote:Nope. But back in the days, Rotters were incredibly awesome. 4 4 2 9 Foul appearance, Regeneration - same stats as a Nurgle Warrior without Disturbing Presence.
