Yes, I dont think you have to worry about it.

Keep blocking and blitzing, avoid the trees.

So, about the game...

Here's my advice. It may not be the hardest thing in the world to beat halflings, but I think you need good strategy.

1) Mark all of his halflings. Yes he has dodge, but it fails 1/9 of the time. You can mark his flings with your skinks. Your extra movement will make this easy.

2) On your turn, do your movement first, followed by your 3 die blocks (if you have a saurus with an assist or a Krox near a 'fling) Then prioritize among the following a) picking up the ball b) dodging away with a skink and c) throwing a 2 die block.

3) Ignore the trees. I'd recommend using your Krox to tie up flings, so don't start him on the line (this will be one of the few times.) I would put three Sauri on the line and space them apart by 2 squares each. Have the Krox one or two squares back from that, in the middle or off to the side.

Well, so here is the turnout... Lost the game 2-1, mainly because of a ton of skulls and ones, else it would have been the 2 in my favor to his one...
Early in the game, lost track of one halfling, who caught a long bomb, nothing I could do about that. Countered at the end of the first half, one skink broke through and left the little bastards eating dust.
In the middle of the second half, I allmost scored, but first i failed my ging for it (used my only reroll, ones everywhere), and then failed my pickup TWICE with skinks... Then some good rolls from him and that was it, 2-1. Also, a skink was killed (his rolling was the opposit of my abomibale dicework). Did get a starplayer though, gave the skink sure feet.

Anyway, this friday I'll be up against an Ogre team with 5 ogres and a heap of snots... Any tips on that?

well your skinks can always get 2 dice block on the snots :D guess your saurus just have to tough it out against the ogres as you dont want anything with mighty blow hitting your skinks. although one assist gets you even with an ogre anyway.

Afterthoughts: Again a lot of bad luck on the dice, but I'm getting used to it. Lost my sure feet skink, but my krox gained guard for bashing two snots and an ogre into the casualty box. Still lost 1-0, although I'm getting the hang of it. Haven't planned a next game though, will keep you guys posted.
