Mixed teams in blood bowl?

Post by Mr. N.F.L »

Hey everybody, this is my first post on this website so I am a little nervous. My question is "outside of using star players is there anyway to use mixed races in blood bowl? For example dwarfs with humans?"

Reason: ''
On any given sunday you are either going to win or lose. The question is are you going to win or lose like a man?

Chaos Pact and Underworld Creepers. Outside of that, no, unless you houserule differently.

Reason: ''
Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

You can found those teams in the latest LRB:

Eh, well, no you dont. But BBRC08 should include them. Ill post when I found it.

Ok, here they are (made a google):

Pretty easy to houserule IMO. Make a list of "good" races and "evil" races. Good teams can hire one lineman from each other good race, and evil teams from evil races. Only linemen may be hired, and they come with both Loner and Animosity. I can't see that unbalancing anything.

Basically the answer is that in an official games no u can't mix the teams, unofficially you can have anything you want .

In Dungeonbowl there was the chance to do mixed races teams.
Could be a starting point for some sort of "house rule".

I never liked those Dungeonbowl races. They were totally unbalanced (between themselves). :)

Yeah, you're probably right.
Still as "one off" games, it could be fun (and oh...so many converting possibilities!!!) :D

Technically (not the answer to this question I know) there are other teams which include mixed races (without considering big guys, who never are of the same race as the rest of the team - other than the Deathroller).

Chaos Dwarves (Hobgoblins & Dwarves)
Orcs (Goblins & Orcs)
Ogres (Snotlings & Ogres)
Undead and Necromantic (Various)
Vampires (Humans & -possibly?- Vampires)

But thats about it. Mr N.F.L, one of these teams may be the one for you?
