What are the "Current Official" rules?

Post by Pitch Invader »

Sorry if this is obvious to many, but I've been having a tough time determining what the current & official rules for Blood Bowl are. :?:

Can anyone tell me for certain?

Now that there is no specialist games site, the GW site has a pdf for the "complete" Blood Bowl rules along with a couple pages of changes to those rules. So it would seem those are the current rules (?) however the copywrite date says 2006, and nowhere did I find on the site it saying that this was the current rules.
I also have a copy of the 5.0 LRB with proposed 6.0 changes in red.

These two rule books are not the same however. I have run across posts that indicate that the GW site has the new rules and that the LRB concept is getting scraped for the time being, and other posts talking about LRB 6.0, but I haven't found a pdf of that.

The whole mess is confusing me and I'd hate to pay Kinkos to print something out of date,

Can anyone tell me with assurance what the most up to date official rules are and where to obtain them?

Thank you :D

LRB5 is the official rules and you can download it from GW UK under specialist games -> blood bowl - > resources.

2008 experimental rules, often mistakenly called LRB6, is not official.

Slann, Underworld & Chaos Pact teams are endorsed by the BBRC and allowed for NAF tournament rankings.

LRB6 is due by the end of this year, and will be primarily the 2008 experimental rules - we might take some things out but otherwise it should be pretty close.

There is no plans for an LRB7 or rules changes after LRB6.
