I didn't vote (in this esteemed group I wouldn't dein to think I had something to offer.)

BUT... :)

How about JumpUp for some of the reasons stated already...and with the Piling On as the next skill. Help him live up to his name even more. :)

Leap, because it brings something unique to your team. It will open some new tactics, and throws off the opponents.

Leap, for sure. If you ever get another double on an AG4 Blitzer, give him Leap as well., as well as Guard on one of them. It'll make cage players cry with frustration.

Voted Sidestep.

Frenzy should be the next one up, and you just can't deny the greatness of a move 7,
tackling, mighty blowing,, sidestepping, frenzying blitzer.

To paraphrase Samuel L. Jackson:

"Busta Rektum. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every m**herfu**er in the room, accept no substitutes."

I voted Leap in part because Side Step is for cornerbacks and I'm afraid to put a guy that expensive on the corner when I have a good alternative. Leap is a great skill for an outside LB, though, which is where you'd naturally want to put an AG4 Blitzer.

@ Gorbad: If you take Side Step, you might consider either Frenzy or Grab to follow. Grab is seriously underrated, but Frenzy is good too. It's moot, though, as this is improvement #5 on this fellow. Doubles on a rookie, I totally agree that SS rocks, as you can follow with Frenzy (or Grab).

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Voted leap. He can now blitz almost anybody from almost anywhere. And if you are stuck on offence, he can score more easily than other players.

Having leap on him will force your opponent to play differently, which will help the overall Orcs bash tactics.

I'm torn between Jump Up and Leap...

This is really a question of risk.

This guy acts as my safety. He usually hangs back and waits for a mistake or an unprotected receiver. Then he swoops in, Fists Flying, and snags the ball.

So for this role I see Jump Up as being equally useful as Leap.

Leap has associated risk (Fail on 1-2 = AV roll)
Jump Up does not (Fail on 1 = no AV roll ~ only when Blocking)

To use leap I need to move out of safety position and go on the attack. (When on offence this isn't usually a problem)
To Use Jump Up is to get back into a safety position. (or attacking position)

So, do I risk it or do I play it safe?

Risk = Reward
The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward.
The bigger the failure, however...

This is really a question of risk.

I was going to post, but Matt summed up my thoughts exactly. Unless your team already has some leap, this is likely the best choice.

I voted before I saw the decision was already made:-)

I was torn between Side Step and leap, but ended up voting SS, as I know that your team has a lot of focus on field possession. My hought was that SS would be good fluff for a player with an AG increase - all the Blackorcs can stand firm, and then the agile guy can do the fancy footwork.

Much of te same argument goes for leap, though - it can be so effective in getting to that key position.

I don't like or believe in Dodge when only ONE player in the team has it. The few and only tackle players in the opponents team will get him and can tie him up.
Just wanted to ask about this argument for dodge as I've seen it posted a couple of times now.

So are you saying basically that if a team does not start with any dodge in the roster then you won't give it to any players on that team?

I can see the reasoning in tournament play but surely it's different in a league format where other players may get the option to take it later or dependant on the teams in the league.

Or is it just me being thick?
