Good evening guys!
I have a question regarding inducements bought from treasury cash.
Let's say two teams play each other, both with 125 TV. One has 100 K in treasury though, and decides to buy a 100 K inducement. My understanding is that the other team also gets 100 K worth of inducements money, right?
What about this though:
Team A as a TV of 125 and plays against Team B, which has a TV of 140. Team A gets 150 K worth of inducements money. What if team A also has 100 K in treasury and decides to use it ? This is where I'm not sure of how to rule this. Does Team B gets 100 K worth of inducements Money as well to even things up?
Let me try with another scenario. Team A (TV 122) plays Team B (TV125). Team A wants Bloodweiser Babes for the game and spends 20 K of their treasury to do add to their 30 K of iducements money. if this is legal, what happens to Team B here?
Thanks for your help guys!
Fred

As per p.28 of the handbook, moving money from the treasurey (pre-match sequence 2) is before buying inducements (pre-match sequence 3), so will effect the TV difference.
So, from your examples:
TV125 vs TV125: Correct.
TV125 vs TV 140: If the underdog spends their 100k, they'll only get 50K of inducements.
TV122 vs TV125: Not possible, as spending the 20K will only give them 10k in inducements.
Basically, as underdog, it's not worth spending your treasury on inducements.*
If a TV125 played a TV130, and the 125TV team used it's 150k treasury to buy inducemtns, it's TV effectively becomes TB140, and the TV130 team is now the underdog, and gets 100K of inducemtns.
*There's a few times it is, but generally, it's not.

But in the last scenario, the underdog (before petty cash transfers) could spend 50,000 from treasury to get a Babe (or, for Halflings, a Chef). The overdog would become the underdog, but would get no inducements (because 20,000 is below the cost of any inducement).
To give another example: Team A is TV141 and does not transfer any money to petty cash. Team B has TV140 and decides to transfer 150,000 to petty cash in order to induce a Wizard. Team B's TV goes up to 155, so team A gets 140,000 to spend on inducements (for free). But Team B knows that Team A will not be able to get a Wizard.
Hope this helps.
