"i'm starting to get a feel for the little guys ..."

serves me right, my first loss of the season yesterday against Lizzies despite me having Zara with Inducements. It didn't help that my SF/Guarder was Kroxed off in the first Block of the game. Still no long term damage and i picked up Guard on a 3rd Blocker

where are the rest of the team in terms of spp totals / next skill level etc?

Cheers i've added the current SPPs

Guard [Dodge] on the 2nd Blitzer(s) then Tackle or MB

Guard [Diving Tackle] on the Unskilled Blockers

It'll be nice when the 2nd TS wakes up SF [S-S] then MB

Otherwise, the team is coming on steadily. I'm still not sure how to bring on the MV7 Runner. He's the primary scorer. Fend [Side-Step]?

I'll probably get 4 -6 more games then into the playoffs (perhaps) with the team progressing during the finals

Don't forget KOR.

But that will make him even more of a TD hog.

The other way to go is as a fast Blitzer.

I have a MA7 Runner who now has 5 skills (82 SPP). Unfortunately, he has become so much better than the other Runner that it almost never makes sense to use the "slow Runner", and he is stuck at 2SPP. So the "TD hog" risk is a real one.

Fend on the MA7 Runner is brilliant. I've also given him KoR - great on kickoffs because you only have to put one player back. But again it leads to him having the ball even more.

Rolled doubles for his second skill - gave him Catch bc I was trying to build a receiver. Catch is good - esp on hand offs, interceptions and kick off receptions. But I've always harbored the suspicion Dodge would have been the better choice.

i fancy Fend [Dodge or S-S] on the MV 7 Runner with Tackle then Strip Ball on the other Runner (mind you he'll have to start doing some ball carrying duties once the MV7 guy gets the next skill)
