Jugg / Stand Firm Pact Minotaur Rolls Double Ones
Someone talk me out of Block. Only other reasonable selections I can think of are Pro or Claws.
Go.

This is the ods of getting a KO or CAS every time you knock someone down if you get him claw and piling on next. Its a mino - he is ment to do damage - getting 4-6 dice against anyone...
This is not strictly better than block, but I would take it. You can blitz with small risk and great chance of succes, and if people mark him so you have to block they are giving you the game. just make blitz and blocks with other players first.

Block is much better than anything else available. If you need to be talked into something else, it's all about tentacles. You already have stand firm, and wild animal means if you're on your feet, you have a tacklezone. Better to take a passive skill that gives him more blocks than take a skill that'll have you wasting blitzes on him (claw).

And block, juggernaut lets you knock down wrestlers on skull/pow, but I still think there can be made a case for claw.
It will let you take out key players easily - Making mummies, Chaos warriors and big guys look like big skaven linemen.
I know my CDs would take claw and love it. If I need a reliable blitz Il do it with someone without nega traits, but if im going for takeout I would go with the claw, piling on minotauer most of the time. When I get a piling on, claw, mighty blow, frenzy dwarf the case is different ofcause.
I have piling on on my Minotauer even without claw or block and I like it. I can live with him on the ground for a turn ones in a while, and you dont have to use piling on, if you need him standing. But rerolling the injury of some mofo is just sweet.

I'd say Claw is better for a Beastman or Chaos Warrior if you want to kill Mummies, etc. Minotaurs are better used for bullying weaker players and generally putting the fear of God into your opponant. Not to mention it's a non-double for non-Minotaurs, and cheaper on TV.
So I'll say again, be boring and get block.

Juggernaut + Claw makes a disgusting blitzer. Break Tackle adds to the equation.
I'd choose block on almost any other team, but for the Chaos Pact, you have an Ogre and a Troll to man the line of scrimmage (and pick up mutations like tentacles.) Your minotaur is free to blitz the holy %@#* out of someone- go do it!
By the way, is this a no skill player? The story changes if he already has another skill.

Block. With ST5 and Stand Firm, he'll be a god among inside LBs. With Juggernaut and Frenzy, he'll be doom to Wrestlers and Big Guys with Stand Firm. And Block helps mitigate the hazard of AV8. Plus on a WA, keeping him on his feet is even more important, as he's got the same roll to stand as a Tree unless he blitzes.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

It depends a lot on the other teams in your league. In my league there are many AV7 teams, and so with the first doubles my mino got I gave him block (with absolutely no regrets) He then got Stand Firm, and on his third skill he got another doubles which earned him Tentacles (which works a treat wit Stand Firm). This has been an amazing skill for him, particularly useful in the match against the skaven - stopped those GRs from running rampant!
If your league is block heavy, then go with Block.
If your league is moderate in block, but lots of high AV teams, then go with Claw.
If you league has lots of skaven and elves then go with Tentacle.

thread title huh? I guess I could look there...
I'm still a fan of claw- although tentacles would make him awesome at stopping gutter runners and wardancers.
Nothing wrong with block, but this is a blitzing piece, and juggernaut already does the trick. concentrate on doing more damage (Claw) or making the pansy teams fear you (tentacles.)
