Blitzers should have the price dropped too.
Bingo.
80k Blitzers, and AV8 catchers - LRB 7.0 Humans are good to go
Changing the price of blitzers may not be a good idea. I dont see it doing alot of harm but the argument that "Orc blitzers are 80k" isnt entirely fair - orcs have more expensive re-rolls so dont dont bear a direct comparison at all.

AFAIK both the blitzer is priced right according to the formula. Which means that prices also make sense when compared to other pieces - so I'm not thrilled about the potential ripple effect in making these guys cheaper.
But if we want to give them a price cut - and I'm all for it - why not give them 40K rerolls?
Yes, I know they'd be the only team. Finally something to make them unique

No thanks - we've only just managed to get that aberation removed from the rules (LRB6) and you're suggesting putting it back in?
Cheapest reroll in the game should be 50K period.

At this point in the thread what's the reason that base humans need a change???
I know some of the alternate human teams are different and sometimes that difference seems unfair but I kind of like the Humans the way they are ... The current "Human" team seems to fill the jack of all trades, master of none niche well.
BTW: If people want to cry about expensive Blitzers just look at the Khemri Blitz-Ra. When you look at that the human blitzer looks like a bargain

Go back and read Al the Trowel's post on the previous page.

Yes. Welcome back in tier one - where they definitely should be.
Joemanji wrote:Al is spot on IMO. 80K Blitzers is a no brainer for me. 90K is just wrong. More expensive than a Gutter Runner?
Skaven blitzers are more than GRs and exactly the same as human blitzers, and yet most people take 2...
I think 90k is fair. 4 @ 80k might be too far. I do think orcs get a very good deal at 80k though.
If you want to increase catchers to S3 I think you have to remove 1 MA and maybe dodge. They will quickly become blitzers when developed.
Instead of cheaper RRs, throwers could start with leader?
Yeah I would expect the humans to be one of the best teams. Elves should always be overall better at the game tha humans and orcs should be bashier than the humans. Its a difficult issue to balance. You dont want humans to become like elves or like orcs as this comprimises the character of the team.
A developed human team can be quite decent but out the box they are pretty poor, unlike orcs and elves who can function to a decent degree as a starting team. Perhaps addressing this issue by making the possisionals cheaper will help. I believe the Str 2 catchers, unskilled Ag 3 linemen combined with over priced blitzers. is the reason why they perform poorly to begin with. Unfortunately there is no way around these problems with the current roster.
In my current league team I've had to take a lot of journey men because the catchers keep getting victimised and the linemen cant get out of trouble on the LOS. If I could have afforded more subs at the beginning of the league I believe the performance would be better than lower mid table. Cheaper blitzers and better catchers would a good starting point in making the team better. IMO humans should have cheap rerolls regardless of the cost of positionals because it appears to me that humans have put alot of thought and effort into strategy and training behind the scenes in blood bowl. They might not have the natural ability of the other races to do fancy or bashing plays but they should be able to think around problems rather that confront them face on.
Has anyone play tested a human team with Str 3 catchers and cheaper blitzers? I dont think they would be 'broken' but their performance and ability would definetely be enhanced.
I dont think that Catchers should have ST3, that would make them super blitzers with just one normal skill roll.
Instead i think they should make human catchers even more dangerous with an additional agility skill at the start, making them having 3 starting skills
Catch, Dodge and ??????
I really cant on the fly determind what they should have as a 3 skill.
But it would make them a real danger to the opponent, right at the start.
