Saurus doubles.

Post by Darkson »

Ok, so what do I give to a Block Saurus that rolled a double-5 for his second skill?

Take the MA?
Take the AV?
Dodge?
Or ignore the double for Mighty Blow?

Rest of the team:
Krox
Saurus w/Block
Saurus w/Leader
2 x Saurus - no skills
Block Skink
2 x Skink w/Diving Tackle
3 x Skink w/Side Step
3 RRs

Also, I've got 80K in the bank - take the 6th and last Saurus?

Was so much easier under LRB4.

MA for some fun with Break Tackle? What was your skill path before the double screwed things up?

dodge. With so much dodge on your team already it is tough to mark him and all your skinks.

Diving tackle gives you a nasty man marker
Jump up will make him a good piling on player
Sidestep and then frenzy is always fun

just a few untraditionel options that can expan your play style with the scaly ones :)

Dodge, Break Tackle... it's a judgment call. If you're going to play the team for a long time (if you're not 1/2 done), Dodge. If not, well, take your pick.

Dodge. Give him Break Tackle when he reaches 31 SPP's.

Nice roll 8)

Leader on another Saurus? Can't say I agree with that choice, when Block is sorely needed as a first still (or, since it's a double, Dodge).

But yeah, Dodge is good. Very good, infact. Only team it won't be devastating against is Dwarves, any other team will lack enough Tackle to really lock down your team - and Saurus tend to be tough enough that losing Dodge to a blocking Tackler isn't such a bad thing.

Dodge followed by Break Tackle sounds solid.

I'd be tempted by Diving Tackle followed by Stand Firm. Get another Saurus with Break Tackle, Block and maybe Frenzy. Hit the corner of the cage. Then get the Diving Tackle, Block and ideally Stand Firm Saurus to go stand next to the ball carrier.

I would take an apoth first and the 6th saurus later. If you already have an apoth, buy the last saurus.

For me, I think you need to avoid the doubles or the +MA and get break tackle. I don't know how you are surviving without any on your sauri! Usually 2 is enough, but my tactics suffer until I get those two. Frenzy is also an awesome choice.

The only other short term option is to get Mighty Blow and follow it up with Break Tackle, Piling On, or Diving Tackle (double) at 31 SPP's. But without Mighty Blow, I recommend ignoring the idea of 31 SPP's... it will happen someday maybe, but it's probably a long way away.

Longterm? Dodge is nice, but I'd go with Diving Tackle.

I took the MA before...it was great to have a fast "safety". (he gained another MA later)

Reason: ''
There is no "I" in "TEAM", but there is an "M" and an "E", and that spells "ME"
