999 Ways to Kill the Wardancer who has everything

Post by PunkJoker »

One of my pointed eared foes has a Wardancer that rolled Str + and MV + for his first 2 skills. While we all thank Mork (or possibly Gork) that he didn't choose AV +, there is now a ST 4 AG 4 MV 9 Leaping Blodger on the field.

I no likey.

Any suggestions on Wardancer removal?

About the only remaining option I can see is to crowdsurf him before he gets Sidestep...

I ones faced an awfull player in the good old days of old piling on and fang and rerolling allowed on injury rolls.

He was something like 7428 frenzy, block, piling on, fang.

Dont ask what kind of player he was... Some horrible house rules...

For those who might not know the 3rd edition rules. piling on was + ST on AV and fang was +2 on injuries. meaning 10 + was a kill...

I had to figure out how to handle him, and I found a solution...

I stole my friends miniature some days before we where to play the game. Then I set up a ritual on the pitch with all my players and some kandles surounding the mentioned player who was crusified on a cros I made for the occation. Then I waited for my friend to arrive. It all worked out perfectly. The player in quastion just failed everything he tried. I won the game and didnt suffer any injuries I can remember.

uggh.. I feel your pain.

My league has a wardancer +1ST, Frenzy, MB, Tackle,Sidestep.

I have fouled him more times than I can count, but the louse always gets the lucky KO, or badly hurt. (proof that even a TOUGH woody will take a dive to get off the pitch when he needs to.)

Keep fouling him, but realize this: Nuffle was a wood elf. You probably won't kill him.

I killed a league once by fouling a +ST Wardancer to death. He had the old Diving Tackle from way back when, that let you make out-of-turn blocks, plus Mighty Blow, Tackle and a Magic Helmet (this was 1998). It was overtime, the score was 2-2, the other WD was SI'ed, and he did a really stupid Leap/1d in my cage that backfired. I fouled him and killed him, and the coach hurled a d6 at the game store window (it just bounced off), offered just to give me the score and thus the game if I'd stop beating on him (I accepted; my designated scorer had the ball and plenty of time, so there was no question of legality), and showed up for only one more match. All his buddies quit the league when he got mangled the following week (by someone else, fair and square: but he was a good coach and might have survived if he had any WDs). Good riddance? Maybe. Without his entourage we were down to 5 coaches.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

In order
1. Wrestle it down
2. Call the posse
3. Foul

Repeat every turn as necessary ignoring step 1 where not applicable.

Depends on what you are playing, but if you can get a Big Guy with Stand Firm and Tentacles next to him, then he is in real trouble! I would lend you my pact minotaur with Block, Stand Firm and Tentacles, but he is pretty committed to his own team!

Oh oh I know this one!!

Code: Select all

The player may attempt to use this skill when an opposing player
attempts to dodge or leap out of any of his tackle zones.
I think the word "leap" is a great hint to how it works
