Orc Blitzer... Almost a Legend.

Post by bouf »

My Orc Blitzer Biff Shatterjaws is on 154 SPPs and his team the Rocky Mountain Goon Squad are headed into the BABBL season 4 finals.

I could get eliminated at any time and that will cruel my chances at reaching Legend Status, but if I do make 176, what skill should I take.

So far I have :
Block, Mighty Blow, Piling On, Jump Up, Tackle, Juggernaut, & Fan Favourite

I was thinking :
Frenzy - but since I'm only ST3, that may be a little risky
Dauntless - Great for hunting Big Guys and Jerks witn +ST, but again... risky
or
Pro - This is my current Favourite. No more failed Jump Ups (well, less anyways) and I can use it for Failed Knock Downs too (If I need). It'll really shine when I run out of RRs or if I have already used them else where.

The thing with Biff, He's more than a killer. With Jump Up I often find him in a position to score or play the ball. What do you think... Pro?

You can put bounties on players in your league, that rocks!

I like your Pro idea, especially if you use PO a lot. If you don't, what about stand firm to keep him in the thick of things?

What would you get if you rolled a double? Dodge? Sidestep? how about Catch or Leader?
Have you thought about Grab?
Other than that I like the theory behind Pro.

Grab or Stand Firm if you ask me. Keep him on his man. How much Grab do you have?

Side Step on a double (put yourself in tacklezone to someone that has already moved)

Grab on a normal (take out both stand firm, fend and side step)

He already have juggernaut so in combination with grab it will cancel out all three mentioned.

Fair enough.

I think Pro would be my choice.

Strip Ball is to be considered. Wrestle for the extra possiblities. But for skills 4, 5 and 6 I always plan for skills that enhance the core ones already takes. For Biff, I'd say Pass Block looks like a good contender. Put him that much closer to the receiver.. maybe win a turnover, and if not, at least he doesn't have to run so far to chase down the pansy elf..

Stand Firm. With Jump Up, he'll get more blocks in. With Tackle, he'll be harder to push off the carrier.

Or Frenzy. Your team is probably loaded with Guard, right?

IMO, Grab is a distant third. Juggernaut/Grab is good on a team, but not so much on a single player. On a different guy, Grab/Stand Firm/Strip Ball is all kinds of fun.
