Can you chose not to roll on improvement table...

Post by Papa Sebco »

... even if you earned enough spp ?

A coach asked this 'cause he has a treeman with 51 spp, he always made single rolls and thinks his treeman will be too expensive with another single roll and 20.000 more value.

I thought he had no choice and must roll on the improvement table but he argues there are two opposing sentences in the LRB 5 about that :

"If the player has earned enough points to go up a level, then immediately make a roll for them on the Improvement table"

"Once a player has earned enough Star Player points he becomes entitled to an improvement and may roll on the ‘Improvement table’."

yes he has to take a skill

this is part of the whole team evolution and player turnover that is league play

he doesn't have to roll on the table though if he just wants to take a normal skill though ;]

so while he "may roll on the table" he "must" take a skill

If he doesn't want a player that expensive, he can retire him ;]
