Ideal Induced teams Winning % Range

Post by fatfinley »

I remember on the old GWS Bloodbowl Forum someone (maybe Galak?) mentioned the ideal winning percentage range for the induced teams. Does any here remember what it was?

If I remember correctly it was like 20-30% of the time the induced team wins, but I am not sure? Can someone help me out.

The reason I ask is I want to see if our league falls into the desired inducement range set by the designers.

I think it would depend on the amount of Inducements. A TV gap of 10TV should give the underdog more chance of winning than a gap of 100TV. But IIRC 30% was the figure for 'large' gaps (assuming coaches of comparable ability).

Yep - sliding scale from 50% to 30% depending on the size of the gap.
I'm afraid it didn't get more specific than that.

Thanks for the info guys.

I am not knocking your answers but I really thought someone mentioning trying to get the winning % around 25-35 for the team with inducements. Or I should say what the playtesters of inducements were trying to target.

Oh well the GW Forum is long gone for Bloodbowl so I can't look that thread up anymore. Thanks again for the quick response and long live Talkbloodbowl.com forums!

Obviously if the teams are very close in TV anyway then it should be at or very close to 50%.

As the gap widens the % should drop and IIRC the bottom of the range was 30% - so regardless of TV gap you'll never have worse than a .300 record because of TV (that's tier 1 vs tier 1)
