Need ideas for buffing chaos - round 4: proposal

Thick Skull beastmen would be a minor buff, and one that fits the fluff (try headbutting your way through 11 armoured opponents with a thin skul...)
It doesn't affect survival rate (so effect on team building limited) and helps a starting team deal a bit better with their AV8. One good way to loose your match with a starting chaos team is to have all your beastmen end up KO.
Best of all TS Beastmen do not affect tremendously the fun of the challenging game for rookie chaos caused by their ball handling.

My only issue with thick skull is that it would make chaos alot more frustrating to foul off the pitch than they currently are... perhaps not a good thing at high TR.

That's the problem with Chaos, they need a short term buff and a long term nerf.
How about knocking Beastmen down to 50k, but bumping up their rerolls to 70k? Though that in itself causes problems, but it means Chaos can frontload on Rerolls a little easier, but can't purchase more later on without paying a heavy price.
But...yeah. 50k Beastmen. I'm not so sure.

I think chaos is a lot less scary now than they used to be.
While I agree that they don't need a buff, they (IMO) don't need to get nerfed.
I think the Thick Skull thing is a reasonably small buff.
Not my favourite solution, but hey.

One minor nerf could be removing normal Mutation access to Chaos Warriors, and leaving it only as a Doubles skill. Means the classic Block/Mighty Blow/Claw combo isn't as easy to get, and costs a little more team value.
Also means the Beastmen become somewhat more valuable with their easy Mutation access.

Yikes - I still can't believe that mighty blow is the most popular option for boosting the warriors.
Ah well, it's still only in 4th place.
And given that chaos is a fine team in late development, we just need the #1 boost.
