Dwarf Blitzer with AG4 - rolled double 5 - what to take?

Post by McKrackenfield »

I am torn.
This is his 2nd skill up.

+move is always good for dwarves
catch or diving catch for ag4 Blitzer makes him a super scoring option
Dodge is always a great option

I have 2 blodgers on the team already and one runner with +move.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Gotta be the MA. Makes that AG4 even better. Dwarfs have enough rerolls spare so I think you'll get away without Dodge.

I'd go for the +MA!
Like Joemanji said it would make the +AG even more usefull.

+MA, it's better then Dodge and waaaaaaay better then Catch or Diving Catch (which I wouldn't even consider unless you're trying to builda fun themed "dwarf passing" team.

I had a Dwarf Blitzer who received +AG and took pass block on my next skill.... he becomes a fantastic (safety/corner) Ball Hawk for a Dwarvish team that never really has a strong secondary.

+MA! If not, then Dodge, but that's a distant 2nd.

+1MA. Definately. Having reasonably speedy and agile Dwarves is a good thing.

well, I guess that +ma is the way to go as it is almost unanimous.

the only reason I thought of dodge is to make it harder to knock him down. We have a league that is light on tackle.

Nevertheless, you have two things going for you:

1) Cheap! rerolls...

2) I'm not rolling the dice for you!!!!

Enjoy the burly elf you've built....

Sorry, Dodge is a 4th choice on double-5. I forgot, AV10 roolz. It's still not a competitor for +MA. +MA is the second-best thing that can happen on an AG4 Blitzer (after rolling 12 and getting a functional Vampire).

+MA. movement more than anything else is the dwarfs problem. Getting your best players to where they need to be makes life easier. It increases the MA6 players on your team by 50%, and gives you a target for any 2D passing plays.

I have an AG4 MA6 Blitzer, and he's great. (Didn't have the double 5 issue on the MA, though). He is my designated QB, and has actually completed a few passes. As a ball handler, though, I've had a couple of problems with him and Strip Ballers - seriously thinking of giving him Sure Hands as 3rd Skill, although Strong Arm/Pass (on Doubles) would be more consistent with the QB theme.
