To frenzy or not to frenzy a strength3 WD....
Thats the question. what are your experince with a strength3 wardancer with frenzy? if he is a strength 4 its no discussion. But is it better to make a lineelf with block and frenzy to watch the sidelines?

I guess it really depends on the role you wish them to play. A lot of coaches like to develop them with the idea of pressurising the opposing ball carrier with the threat of leaping into a cage and freeing the ball. In this respect I believe there are better skills than Frenzy for a WD such as Strip Ball or Tackle.
I guess it really depends on the role you wish them to play. I'm not the most experienced Woody coach but I wouldn't be looking skill up a WD with Frenzy just for the odd opportunity to crowd surf.

Frenzy/Leap/Blodge/AG4=Awesome! Get a couple of Dodge linemen, and you'll be able to shut down cages before they form a good third of the time.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I actually like Frenzy as a 2nd skill choice on my 1st WD (Side Step is #1; Blodge isn't enough security, you have to make people fear pushing him). If I get a Guard lino right away, though, I might take Frenzy first. The combo means you own the Wide Zone and can almost always 2TS until you start facing a bunch of Side Step (even Stand Firm is insufficient sans Dodge, though better than nothing). This means that good pressure will win you even more games, as you know 2 turns will yield a TD. It also speeds your lineman development.

Well, it depends on the tourney format and what teams are present. If the tourney gives lots of skills, it is likely that the ball carrier will have sure hands. And if you have strip ball on an agility team, your opponent will grab the ball with the sure hands player and slowly walk down the field.Carnis wrote:Why not strip in a tournie?PubBowler wrote:Top tournie choice and can't imagine it suffers in league play.
Disclaimer: Never played BB in a tournie :p
In such a case, Frenzy is better to knock the ball loose.
So, WD with Frenzy is quite good. In a tourney, I'd easily go that route. In a league, I'd go with Side Step first, then Frenzy.
But the first WD to get a skill should bet Strip Ball. Extemely good in early leagues when your opponents have not developped any players with Sure Hands yet.
WD1: Strip Ball, Side Step, then I'd consider Wrestle. He's your expert ball extractor, and wrestle is much better than block for that.
WD2: Side Step, Frenzy, Tackle. Doubles: Juggernaut. He knocks guys over, very good against Sure Hands ball carriers as well.
All doubles on linemen: guard
First normal skill on linemen: kick
