What are some good tactics against a Deathroller

Post by lightingbug »

Howdy, Does anyone have a bit of advice on how to deal with a deathroller?

I am starting a DE team in a league this week and come to find out that one of the dwarf teams is starting the league with a DR. Everybody is a starting 1mil team and I am starting with 2 Blitz and 9 LineElfs. I just have this feeling that I will be playing this Dwarf team pretty early on so either I will not have anyone developed enough or I will be losing one or two of my guys because of this game.

So How do I neutralize the deathroller with the least amount of loss to my guys?

Thanks

Block it !! Block it all the time !! if it goes over .. it's out of the game !

So a try with 2 dices against could work ,, if you just get lucky ...

Until u can do a 2 dice hit on it, dodge your butts off, then hit the sorry sack of steel.

Also don't set up multiple blocks for it. If it is only hitting one player at a time it isn't nearly as effective. Back when we allowed it I found it's best use was to distract the other team while the rest of the dwarfs went in to score. I don't think it ever saw a second drive in a game, either from flipping over or from failing the penalty roll.

Well cool - Thanks everyone. that helps.

Plus our league is now not drafting star players until week 4, and it is going to be by auction, so he might not get it.

He is also not in my division so I really don't have to worry about him.

I wish Deathrollers were not star players. I mean hey they are not "actual people or a player" I think you should be allowed to use them is League play NOT freeboot only :)
