I agree: it's MA5+/AG3+ that makes the difference. Just one, not so much.

1. First option is still to take tackle from the linemen with no cost reduction.
2. Runner up is to replace block on the slayers with juggernaut.

Reducing the number of blockers and creating a new lineman has the highest total number of votes, but as these are split between 0-2 blockers and 0-4 blockers, it's kind of hard to tell if this option is the true winner of the poll.

Right, given the result of the poll it makes sense to try to clarify what the suggested new lineman should be like.

A few hard and fast rules:
1. He should be an overall nerf, compared to the current blockers.
2. Given the poll, he should not have tackle.

Reading through this thread, and a previous one, here are a few suggestions:
1. Lineman 60K 4329 block, thick skull; G (½)
2. Lineman 60K 4329 block, thick skull; GS (5½)
3. Lineman 70K 4339 block, thick skull; GS (3½)
4. Lineman 70K 4339 wrestle, thick skull; GS
5. Lineman 60K 4329 Stand firm, thick skull; GS (1½)
6. Lineman 70K 5329 Break Tackle, thick skull; GS (1)

(Added on the 7th:)
7. Lineman 60K 5339 Thick Skull; GS (3)
8. Lineman 50K 5329 Thick Skull; GS (5)
9. Lineman 60K 4329 Wrestle, Thick Skull; GS (2)

Cheers
Martin

If tackle has to go, #2 or #3, although #3 is more conservative.

Just to be clear, no other changes to the roster, this would be it in isolation?

Hi Jural,
I suppose they could be mixed and matches.

But, IMO, making the blockers 0-2 (not 0-4) is the only way these linemen will impact anything.
And for my taste, I'd do the block=>juggernaut swap on the slayers too.

Cheers

Number 2 I'd be fine with.
3 I could live with if I had to.
1 I could deal with but wouldn't be happy about.
4,5 and 6 - I'd be seriously PO'd.

6 would royally PO me. I think I'd be unstoppable with 5, but it would take quite a few games. Eventually though... 4... I just don't get it, why are linemen wrestlers? The fluff is confusing for me.

As i was one who suggested it, #5 is my favourite (authorizing matches between dwarves and gobs or Amazones, and more fluffy than short arms "Tacklers").

But it's a huge change that demands test (I would not allow S access and lower price to 50k, but it's a moot point).

So I think #2 is the best reasonable choice.

Meh. I liked #6. I mean 2 and 3 are hardly nerfs at all.
But 2 and 3 are the clear favourites.

#3.... but really those arent linemen. They are either too pricey/slow or have block :-?

7 - 5339 TS GS/AP 60k

(basicly #6 but with AG3 instead of break tackle, could maybe be 10k more expensive but it just looks like an overpriced orc lineman then)

I like this idea, but I think they should be AG2 at 50k, with 50k TRRs. TS + S access + 50k TRR ~ AG3 + 60k TRR.

#2.
but I would have prefered

Lineman 60K 4329 wrestle, thick skull; GS

Not sure why it didn't make it! :(
