Underworld Thrower 4th Upgrade

Post by EndzoneDance »

Hey everyone,
My thrower on my Underworld team (Thunder from Down Under), just got a 4th upgrade. This is how he looks right now: 7/3/3/7 Block, Dodge, Pass, Sure Hands, Two Heads, *SKILL*

I built him as my catcher/runner so I was thinking either Extra Arms or Nerves of Steel... What do all of you think?

Thanks,
EndzoneDance

Unless you're AG4 or have Guard, Extra Arms before Nerves of Steel.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

extra arms seems like the obvious one, either for picking it up yourself of getting a hand off

will be a god send in the rain, or trying to get it in a tackle zone as well

Fend would also make sense... but I'd take Extra Arms. Then at 76, Nerves or (on doubles) Side Step to make him better at dodging into the clear after taking a hit or receiving in at most 1TZ. Also lets him set up in more places on defense.

I'd take extra arms. No doubt about it.
In fact, I took it as first pick for both my throwers and I have no regrets.

I've also been very happy with kick-off return.
Not quite so happy with NOS honestly.

One more thing - if this guy runs the ball himself, and probably does the occasional blitz on defense, perhaps horns is also an interesting choice...?

Extra arms is not bad, but I'd also think of big hand, depending on whether you use him to pick the ball in scrums...

In an Underworld team Big Hand is a pretty common skill for Gobbos so he probably already has a couple of scrum pickers.

I hadn't thought of it. Fair point.

*edit* plasmoid had already covered the horns option (good in LRB 5, brilliant in LRB 6 :) )

Thanks for all the replies... I ended up taking Extra Arms.
The big hand idea was a good choice but I already have an AG4 goblin with it so I didnt need my Thrower with it.

Thanks Again,
