Doubles on Beast of Nurgle
He already has Guard. I'm leaning towards Block or Pro but I'm not really sure what to get him.

given that he has tentacles i'm sure smeborg will be on later saying pro is better as it results in less turns of lost tackle zones, this also benefits guard as well
can't really go wrong with either and I normally would take block on most big guys but I like the more passive use of the beast and I'm inclined to liking pro as well

Pro no longer combos with tentacles- be careful! (Now the dice are all rolled by the player dodging away, right?)
This is a hard choice, and I'd consider throwing Side Step in the mix as well... But at the end of the day, I'd prefer block. Anything that keeps the beast standing, and of course allowing him to hit more often doesn't hurt either!

Pro reduces the odds on Really Stupid, which negates Tentacles. That's a #3 doubles roll if you ask me. Take Block! That reduces the odds on skulling out, which also negates Tentacles.Jural wrote:Pro no longer combos with tentacles- be careful! (Now the dice are all rolled by the player dodging away, right?)

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

There is a split between those who prefer Block, and those who prefer Pro.
I am in the latter camp, because I like to use the Beast in an aggressively mobile way. Pro seems to help with everything he can possibly do, and most importantly, helps to keep his Tentacles alive (by giving a "free" re-roll for his Really Stupid roll).
However, I give the Beast Break Tackle as his first normal skill. As you have given him Guard, Block may be more appropriate for you (to be followed by Stand Firm).
But bear in mind that until you have Break Tackle, your Beast will mostly be very passive (astute opponents will mark him out of the game). This seems to be a bit of a waste for his lovely Tentacles.
If you get a second double after Block, you can consider Claw.
Hope this helps.

Right but block gonna speed the way so muchDuke Jan wrote:The way you'll be using your beast will mean people will be trying a lot of blocks on him to free up team mates. Block is useful now you can get it, to bad you're still 15ish SPP from Stand Firm.

True, but it will help to keep your opponents horizontally
I would go for Block by the way, I have a Beast with Block, Stand Firm and Grab, and it really rocks.
