AG5 goblins rtw. I can only assume an AG5 Skink would be even better, especially one that is ST3!

Take the AG, revel in the player while he lives. If you'r opponent spends a lot of effort going after him, then it means someone else on your team can score. If he doesn't, then he can score himself or lead to the score in other ways.

But most of all, remember that he's a skink, and Nuffle Sucks!, so therefore will die on the first failed Dodge/GFI over the whte line. If you expect it to happen, then you won't be to disappointed when it inevitably does.

Lotsa good points. I like what Jural said about the other options on 11 not being as attractive.

Jural, you lost me big time though...

"and I don't think you want this player being prone ever or fouling..."

Amen! If I were playing against this little terror, and he were on the ground for ANY reason, I would go outta my way to put that stunty negatrait to good use, and pound him into the dirt, any way I can!

But, you preceded that with...

"Good choices
Diving Tackle"

That seems like the LAST thing I would ever want on this guy. I can pick up DT on any number of disposable 1-skill skinks, but +1AG and +1STR don't come along too often.

The AG5 is definitely looking like the best choice, although I'm also praying for doubles for block. Longevity is the key to stardom!

In our Premier league last season, Supernashwan developed Colin the Wonder Skink. Colin finished the season with about 76 SPPs. Skills were +1 Ag, +1Ag, Leap, Sure Feet, Sprint. He is an absolute terror. Colin lives on in our Vets league, scaring the bejayzus out of all and sundry.

Anytime you have to score... get a cage within 8 of the endzone and he's off to the races! Hand-off to him... pass to him... he's a freakin' stunty elf with Nuffle's blessing!

Colin sounds mean, but he'd have to stay awful far away from the action, or constantly be caged, even without the ball. Any blitzer on the planet should just make a path to him for some 2-die blitz lovin with block.

Boom, hurt stunty.

I suppose a lot of leagues don't have the bloodthirsty streak mine usually do. A game-breaking player usually has a monstrous target on him in our neck of the woods. Not just to eliminate him for this game, but future games, and future leagues. :P

Oh no, there is definitely a blood thirsty streak in our league (Lucifer, Valen to name but two with a blood lust). Colin partly got lucky and partly stayed out of the way.

Everyone hunts those kind of players... sure... but you keep him off the field on defense... score in two turns on offense... and count the TV savings when he does meet his end....

Nothing is certain, except death, taxes, and Nuffle's perverse love!

You can protect one guy, man. It's not that hard, especially when you have 7 guys with ST4+ and AV9, and everybody else has nothing better to take than Side Step and Diving Tackle. You can provide pressure from anywhere, so you can force the opponent to position tightly. No guarantees in Blood Bowl, but I can see how you can keep one super-Skink alive for a long time.

Reason: ''
What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

But, you preceded that with...

"Good choices

Diving Tackle doesn't leave you prone in your opponent's turn very often, and he can almost never game for it. In most cases, you either remain standing or you go prone, but your turn begins immediately thereafter.

For an AG 4 opponent, he will dodge away with you prone 1 in 6 times (Assuming he has dodge or uses a re-roll) For an AG 3 opponent, it happens 1 in 9 times. By contrast, the AG 4 player will cause a turnover 1/4 times, and the AG 3 player 4 times out of 9. If the opponent doesn't have dodge or a re-roll, it isn't even an issue (0% chance of going prone without causing a turnover.)

The risk is pretty high, and my experience is that this leads to those moves happening later in the turn. As such, the Dirty Player gang foul hasn't been set up. Also, there is the matter of choice. If you see the odds of something bad happening if you do use DT, you don't have to go prone even that 1/6 times!

But hey, as I said, I would choose AG 5 and get leap next... but pray for doubles. I lied, I would lose this player on a GFI... but whatever.

Or a 2+ dodge, with a reroll like I lost my AG5 guard elf ;).
