Here's his team.... Black Orcs with BT, off the bat, don't worry me that much... and I could've warned him against NoS and/on a second thrower... but that's his burden.... Now that I have 3x St4's to his four and just as much guard (lacking a little in block), now may be my best chance.... Kinda like trying to decide whether or not to dance with a drunken bear....

Crush him, digger! Make him pay for not knowing how to develop a team!

You've got claws. Just make sure the wight has guard, and rip some of his blitzers to pieces :D .

Good to see that your luck finally turned, aka Nuffle went on a holiday.

Next weekend is 24 hr gaming and our first tournament (hopefully). I agree that it's time to stick it back to 'im! Will have to wait 2 weeks though....

Here's the short list, w/skills included, for Gravely Repulsed:

zombie/4318/regen
zombie/4328/regen
ghoul/7337/dodge, block
ghoul/7337/dodge
wight/6338/block, regen, guard
wight/6438/block, regen, +St
golem/4429/regen, stand firm, thick skull
golem/4429/regen, stand firm, thick skull
werewolf/8338/claws, frenzy, regen
werewolf/8338/claws, frenzy, regen, block

Priorities, besides winning, will be getting Terrorblow and Hunterspawn TDs to skill them up... though a good casualty would take care of the Were.... Of course I'll have to play with a Journey-zed, but that's no big deal.... I'm considering "expending" Boneshock (ghoul) and using him as a mobile assist till his luck runs out... or he skills up.... I'm reasonably happy with a one ghoul backfield.... We'll see....

Back from the All-Weekend-Gaming shindig, 20 miles up the road! No BB tourney  but did get a few coaches trained and interested in playing along with the league!!!! Played a side game of Tri-Cross (highly recommended), and a game of All Things Zombie, Better Dead than Zed! Won the ATZ:BDTZ in style by carving up three zombies with a ninja sword, talking a survivor into joining me and bringing rations along, rallying a PC & NPC who had bailed out of a running car when a zombie attacked the driver's side window (sheesh... wusses!), getting them back inside the car, and thumbing my nose out the sunroof at the trash talking noobs who swore at us every time a new zed was generated IN THEIR DIRECTION from our gunfire... listening to them scream and mewl as their brain pans were emptied, and running down a zed on the way out of town!!!!

Managed to slip in a ladder game with my Dead Reckoning (Undead) vs Aahz's Desert Kings (Khemri).... Most of the game we pin-balled each other's players around, getting only one casualty apiece, but the weather was BIZARRE... starting with a blizzard and passing at half-time into a blinding sunshine! The proof of the pudding was in ghouls Rancid and Gutrot (noob) dodging through for TDs.... Spooky (wight) managed the team's lone casualty and Gunk (zombified human blitzer) gave up a casualty (badly hurt) without regen! Giggler, ghoul, threw a completion and received the MVP for services rendered.... Gutrot was spitefully fouled in the final moments of the game, with the skellie receiving a red card and Gutrot a niggling injury....

Giggler chose Block (now blodging) for skill-up and Rancid threw a double... taking accurate.... Gory Rory (dodge/sure hands... St2) returns for Reckoning, just in time for Gutrot to get his act together (MNG).... FF advances to a big 2, and 70k of winnings go into the previously empty kitty....

Still sorting out the nits and record updates, but here's the current standings:

# Pts Team/Race
1 145 TMNO2 Orc
2 118 Dead Reckoning Undead
3 98 Desert Kings Khemri
4 85 ? Amazon
5 78 Gravely Repulsed Necromantic
6 68 The Good Guys Human

Dead Reckoning (Undead)

WTL 2-0-1
70k Treasury
2 FF/3 RR 0AC/0CL
TV 1,130,000

TD (4) difference: 0; Casualty (3) difference: +1

Grit/Zombie/4328/Regen/2spp
Grime/Zombie/4328/Regen/0spp

Rancid/Ghoul/7337/Dodge, Accurate/7spp

I'm still thinking on the weapon snip..., just the blade... or the whole thing...?

Do these tentacles make me look fat?

No doubt I'll need some green stuff, post-production....

You know how it is? You like a fig, need two, and there's nothing to match it with....

Reaper sculpter, Ben Seins, made a "Clay Golem" a while back and it featured in a home-made Necro team on Ebay.... Now, coming out in August, Ben Seins has sculpted a "Lab Mutant" that is obviously based on the same design.... What that means to the Necros: two golems that not only look good, but look good together!

As soon as the "mutant" is released, I'll grab a couple and make photos....

These might also make a pair:

Of course I have a copy of that movie!!!!

Maybe I'll use that line in future games....
**********

Nuffle Comes Back from Holiday, Mid-Game

Gravely Ill (new Nurgle team) accepted The Good Guys challenge for an inaugral game.

Gravely Ill
0-0-0 WTL
2 RR
1,000,000
0 FF, 0 AC, 0 CL

Rott Head, Rott Eye, Rott Gut, Rott Bile, Rott Teeth: Rotters
Jeff Goldblum, Vincent Price, Buster Crabbe, Bones Malone: N. Warriors
Horned Adder: Pestigor
Bon-bon: Beast of Nurgle

60k underdogs, got a Chaos Babe (never needed the help :( ) and the kick... but came one short and FAME to The Good Guys....

Went to work, early, on him and had 5 injured (one on a foul) and 2 in knockout when I finally scored.... Bon-bon got the first one and the other three were by Jeff, Vincent and Bones! I should've known what was coming as the TD was painfully halted by a series of 1 die blocks that only required 1 reroll in the half for the humans to foil me till I wore him out and Bile did the shuffle into the end zone on turn 8 of the first half....

Nuffle came to the stadium late and was obviously pissed to see me ahead! Skulls and ones started falling for me, and 5's and 6's for my opponent.... Two turns into the first half he scores! Previously he'd gotten one player back... now the second wakes up and he's "full" strength at 6... :o We're both thinking there's no way he'll keep me out of the endzone for 7 turns.... I know you know where this is going....

He gets a good kick against the sideline, and my guys can't hit or pick up for snot.... Second turn it's ok, till my rotter gets the ball from the ground and fumbles the pass... spent my last reroll trying to pick up last turn.... Now the human catchers are bearing down and I'm able to pick up again... but the pass is errant and the "half-team" of humans goes nuts on the blocks and my guys keep skulling/doubling down.... The catchers turn into dodge-a-matics, pick up, hand off and he's in again! 2-1 with a few turns left.... My guys keep up the pratfalls and even with a miracle, I wind up one gfi from any of them making the play and have to settle for meanness.... Whatever, as I double skull to end the game....

Lost one that I had in the bag....

Damn Nuffle.... :pissed:

Bummer.

OK, with Hanover, the first time he takes an action, look at your opponent, lean in, and say "Don't worry, I got an ace." The first casualty he gets every game, you gotta give your opponent the big hairy eyeball, and say in your best wrestler voice: "Hangin's too GOOD for 'im!" After the second casualty, "BURNIN's too good for 'im!" And of course, #3 is "He should be cut up into little pieces and buried ALIVE!" And as you roll the Cas dice, yell "I'll kill him!"

Ooh! Name the other FG "Den". You could totally have a whole HM-themed team, even (Harry Canyon is obviously a Were... is Tarna a Wight? Cap'n Sternn should be the other one). Dayglo green and gunmetal for team colors? Maybe a darker, non-green color like burgundy or indigo for details. You need at least two Zombies dressed like the bomber crew and one Ghoul from the raid on the city in the final segment (the Black Sabbath montage). The other Were could be the leader... instead of writing "Claw" write "Saw". I don't know how you'd do the spaceship crew (the Good Nyborg men)... lots of putty. You could have some of the freaky emperor-thing's bodyguards as Zombies, or you could just find a model for him or the empress as head coach.

Team chant: "Uhluhtc! Uhluhtc! Uhlutc!"

Found the script:
(n.b.: due to the influence of the loch-nar, Hanover undergoes a bit o' schizophrenia)

:) "Yes, I know Captain Sternn.
He is most kind and generous.
He is a cup overflowing with
the cream of human goodness.
I have never known him
to do anything immoral. :)

 Unless maybe
the Preschooler's Prostitute Ring.

:) And he has never done
anything illegal. :)

 Unless you count all the times
he sold dope disguised as a nun.

:) He has always been a good,
law-abiding citizen ... :)

 Give me a break!

:) ... of the Federation ... :)

 Shut up! Shut up!

:) A community-conscious individual. :)

 Sternn?! He is just a low-down,
double-dealing, backstabbing,
larcenous, perverted worm!

 Hanging is too good for him!
Burning is too good for him!

 He should be torn into little pieces
and buried alive!

 I will kill him! Kill!!

 Kill!!
