I'm looking for any good tactics vs. the Undead while I'm playing the Wood Elves.
I know every turn two line-elves are going to get snookered by the and the wight is my main target for blocking / tackle zones but - what are some little nigging tricks to really win this match?
This is mynoob team with the following:
1 Wardancer
10 Line Elves
2 Re-Rolls
8 Fan-Factor
Tactics - Wood Elf vs. Undead

Dont get involved in a blocking War, or you'll get creamed, and will probably be lucky to finsih with a handful of players still on the pitch, use your agility to dodge, away. Depends on how your oppo plays if he gets possession and soaks up turns then you could be in trouble, then attempt to blitz one side of the cage cage or get at the ball carrier with your Wardancer but remember if he fails and gets stuck in the cage you masy not get to see him again until the following game. Dont worry too much at stopping him scoring once he's got the ball. In fact maybe even encourage him to score , so you can get the ball in enough time to equalize
You've got to decide how you want to counter if he decides on a slow trawl upfield, do you risk breaking into his cage with the leaping Wardancer, blitz one side hoping to get a TZ on the ball carrier, or back off in an attempt to stall his progress.
The latter is extremely risky as you are just inviting him to score late in the half and you'll be staring at 2-1 down a barrel.
Your main advantages is speed and agility. You can score in two turns, so if your men stay fit you'll never be out of the game. The key being of course to make sure you've got the two/or safety net of three turns to equalize.
PS: Ghouls aren't the only scoring threat, Wights Ball handling skills are just as good, and if the Undead play a slow trawl upfield it doesn't matter which one of them has got the ball.
the only advantage the Ghoul has is that he'll most likely be the one hiding inside the cage and his dodge and MA 7 means he can break out at some point to run in the TD, its unlikely that his Mummies and wights will allow you a good shot at him, at least i wouldn't you'd have to get through them first.
