Fanatic Invasion and MVP

Post by dendron »

Hi All,

I have a question about the fanatic invasion and the MVP. I know that a hired Star get the MVP but how about the fanatic invasion?

Thank you for your comments.

Cheers Dendron

i would have to go with this...
LRB5 page 25 wrote:Most Valuable Player (MVP): One randomly selected player from each team who was eligible to play during this match, even if they are now dead, is awarded a Most Valuable Player award at the end of the match.
(my bold)

as the invader is not on either team, i would not have him as a viable option for MVP award.

(and for comedy) on the other hand, Jim and Bob may decide that the Invader was great and worthy of the MVP!!

Sure he doesn't-he isn't on your team as the opo can use him and I'm pretty sure I recall reading at some stage that the card extra players ("The Fan", "Borg 'Freight Train' Gorthag" and the "Not-so-secret weapon") were meant not to be able to take the MVP as they leave the teams at the end of the halves/drives. So basically, players deciding to take cards rather than Star Players would never lose their MVPs.
