Yowza. That's a lot of cheese. Are you sure the problem isn't your sense of balance?

Are you sure you playing the right game???Digger Goreman wrote:Nah... stinkers... not just Necros....
About half the BB teams are hardly good for the game... here, and to stay, but... *sigh*....
Keep:
Chaos
Chaos Pact (only one freak on there is manageable... w/o Ag+....)
Goblin (and buff them to 1.5)
Halfling (and buff them to 1.5)
Human
Necromantic
Ogre (and buff them to 1.5)
Orc (but strip them of Goblins and cut blitzers and black orcs to 2 each)
Skaven (cut GRs to 2 and/or reduce speed... maybe not....)
Underworld (buff... maybe?)
Vampire (and buff them to 1.5)
Put to sleep:
Amazons--- All dodge and a blitzer with blodge...![]()
Chaos Dwarf--- Blacklers and high armor on the ones that count....![]()
Dark Elf---![]()
Dwarf---![]()

Elf---![]()
High Elf---![]()
Khemri---![]()

Lizardman--- St4/5+Mv6?! Skinks +1Ag from broken....![]()
Norse--- ubiquitous block-heads...![]()
Nurgle--- shutdown cheese...![]()
Slann--- *croak* Leap is most abusive skill...![]()
![]()
Undead--- Mummies overpowered... maybe keep if BH and only 2 ghouls)
Wood Elf---![]()

The Cheesiest!
If you HAVE TO have an elf team... go pro and drop starting Ag to 3.... If you have to have a dwarf team.... Hmmmm, cheese-us!... don't know how to fix that crud.... Drop armor (and on Orcs too), block and tackle... and/or hobgoblin types for linemen... or some such.... OR, use Chaos Dwarf stats after degrading dwarf armor and eliminating the ponies...?
Since you asked....
and... folks...
it's strictly explanatory opinion... has no relevance to the game... and will NEVER stand an amazon's chance in a dwarven cage of being canon... so forget the flames....

I have an Idea to even the races out.
-Just have 1 race, with only 1 roster option of 16 players
-Instead of a rectangle of squares, make it a square of squares
-make the square 8 squares by 8 squares
-on the roster, there are 8 linemen, 1 blitzer, 1 big guy, 2 throwers, 2 catchers and 2 runners
-all 16 players can set up at once
-All knock downs are auto dead.
-No GFI, No block dice rolled, no weather, no ball
-A lineman can be sacrificed if he makes it to the opponents endzone to regenerate a player in the dead/injured box
-Set team colours: all black or all white only
-No coin toss- white always go first
-Winner must kill the big guy
-Big guy and linemen, MA1. Linemen may only move forward one space/turn, but get an auto "quick snap" on their first turn if they want it.
That would even the game up completely. In fact, I'm thinking inventing a completely new game based on the rules above so it's a fair game every single time...

You could even use them new fancy clocks that some tourni's use to keep track on individual time!
Although to be honest - I would never play that game - I mean - its obviously broken! White will always win - it always goes first!

Perhaps the "No Patronizing" sign should've been lit, also....
After 30 some-odd years in this hobby, game design is most important... and the aforementioned teams have blatant flaws....
Enough of the thread-mancy... please return to the original program....

Lizardmen, REALLY? They field 9 STUNTIES with AV7 and no G-access.. Come on surely that aint cheese.Digger Goreman wrote: Put to sleep:

Nurgle, with their 0 block and 4x MA6 players at a superhigh cost are surely not cheese..?
Slann.. How on earth does 15 leaps in a team compensate for the utterly too fragile catchers and totally overcosted blitzers, I agree the team has POTENTIAL for cheesyness, but the current roster is far from reaching it.
Sorry, could not resist.

Gotta admit that nurgle were easily the biggest suprise on the list. I guess that the rest are more playstle hatreds than anything else.... hating nurgle is just odd though

I think there are three broken teams that are hard to fix right (Wood Elves, Amazons and Khemri... but Khemri have been over-fixed and Amazons are very format-dependent), one borderline team that kind-of "fixes" itself into three or four non-broken teams (Orcs), and one anti-broken team that is in itself a borderline team (Dwarfs). Otherwise, there's still a hierarchy, but you can generally attribute success to player ability with all the other team races (not so failure with some, but that's ok, as they're built with challenge level in mind). So yeah, this is pretty well balanced for a game with 24 sides.
Lizardmen are hardly broken, but they're an exception team, which makes them very boom/bust. They have one of the best four-turner strategies in the game, and have an easy time building with the TRRs to win without skills (of all the teams without Block, these guys miss it the least). Get MVPs on the Sauri and doubles on the Skinks, and you're going to build a monster. But for every great Lizard team, there's one that just can't catch a break. They have no passing game, so once they go below 4 Skinks it's hard for them to score, and they can't hold out against Orcs or Undead, as a Block/Tackle/MB player will carve a bloody swath through the backfield. Early on, they're weaker against Dwarfs than Woodies or Amazons. Developed Chaos and Chaos Dwarf teams really put them through the ringer at any level: at the rookie end, they have to scheme their blitz every turn off the previous turn until they get some Break Tackle.
