Both Rodders and I would love to be a UKC tourney, it's just a bit odd to be called Midlands, but if that's what it takes.

would be easier to just declare me the UK champion and then there wouldn't be all this fuss

Magic Daves alternative was reasonably simple but quite fun. I can see that some sort of tournament of champions could be quite interesting.

Yeah, just want the community needs - another elitist/invite only tournament.

I think the current idea is really only for the elite, as i can only make 4 tourneys a year no point me even looking at the standings, at least my way everyone has a chance to win, regardless of the amount of miles they can put in.

I think we need to agree any changes now. Christmas will take many of us out of the loop and Poo Bowl is at the start of January.

Wood Elves, Chaos Dwarfs and Undead.

I prefer Pippy's "you can't have all 3 scores with the same race" ideas. I don't see that using Amazons, Undead & Dwarfs is morally or tactically superior to just using Undead. They all grind in a similar way.

Yeah I still say either just leave it, or if we feel a need to change it then just make it 'not three of the same race'.

As pointed out, Rycos won it with three different races. No evidence to suggest that it's easier to win with the same race. Every tourney's different and often the most succesful coaches will take the race which fits each different tournament ruleset the best.

What's the plan Rycos???

I hadnt really thought it was my call as it happens but I will throw in my feelings and opinions:
My own view is that it needs to be kept light hearted, not taken too seriously. I acknowledge some comments on the thread how it may seem to others but for my part, I will take a team that suits the skill set.

I would say not all three scores to be with one team. Two and one other, yeah fine. Just a little variation perhaps.

A finish in the top 10 counts as that score but any placing after 10, just call it 10. Less admin, keeps it simple. As last year, level scores share. As stated, this is not serious or important but a bit of light hearted banter.

Less worry about specific geography. The initial group was to provide a spread across the UK and adding Carrot is fine with me. The idea is to have a spread geographically of the larger tournaments.

Whatever is put forward: someone will argue you could do it differently and I don't think it needs much change personally.

Just something I am curious about: CC aside, was the 8 events of UKC the best attended UK events this year? I am suspecting that they were, in which case, regarding the venues/events, add CC for 9 and lets not fix what isnt broken?

Simply because everyone has a different view, it's good to have the originator of the idea take the lead. Cheers Dave!

I think those changes will work great. No doubt the UKC will continue to be a fun talking point on here and over beers on Fri/Sat nights at tourneys :D
