Gryphonbowl 2 March 6/7th 2010 Adelphi Hotel Liverpool

Post by littlejonnyfrostbite »

Hi All,

I know we haven't had GB1.5 yet but an opportunity has come up to host a 2 day tournament at the Adelphi hotel on the 6th/7th March next year.

The tournament would be 5 or 6 games with good prize support and a buffet lunch both days for £28. Also, there would most likely be subsidies on the rooms.

I know this is a busy time in the BB calendar but thought I'd see if there was much interest for a NW 2 dayer.

Cheers,

Tet

That would be fantastic. The waterbowl is the month before and monkeybowl the month after so it slots in fine. You guys put on a good show at your one dayer, and the club challenge was at the adelphi and that was great.

Two thumbs up.

OK guys I have a few more details for this form the Warhammer event orgainser:

Price will be £27/head, and the hotel is running rooms at £36/person/night in a twin room for b&b and excellent convenience.

Should be 6 games, buffet lunch both days and I anticipate we'll have prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, best painted plus spot prizes for each round and some freebies too.

Hope this can pique a bit more interest. If you are even half way tempted then let me know and I can start getting things moving!

Cheers,

Tet

You might even be able to convince the bird for this one Joe- the Adelphi is a lovely hotel, and at £36 a night you can't go wrong.

At those rates I reckon I good persuade Hosie to go- I went to uni in Liverpool and would love a good piss up afterwards as well...

*you might wanna put Liverpool in the topic title LJF for the southerners and those who didn't watch the documentary series...

Good point, I thought it was Manchester for some reason.

Unfortunately this has become a non-starter for 2010 due to space issues :(

No doubt we'll run a one dayer in it's place instead.

Cheers for the support :)
