While Dauntless isn't the 1st (or even second priority) on a DE team.

I do think / plan to have two (Normally 1 Blitzer and 1 line). Then place them just behind the LOS.

DE's have no increased ST players - and if you aint lucky enough to get a 6-6 then Dauntless is a must - longer term.

Agreed, you need at least 1X dauntless (preferably on a Witch or Dark Elf), preferably 2X.

I like Dauntless on a Wrestle lineman, as you go up against a lot of STR 4 and Block in most leagues.

I like Dauntless as a second option on a #3 Blitzer, after Dodge. Blodge/Dauntless is very good for holding down a dangerous big guy or +ST player. If it's +ST players you're concerned about, follow with Diving Tackle; if it's big guys, get Fend or Pro (Pro is much better on AG4 than AG3, as the tactical distinction between 5/6 and 9/10 is better than the difference between 2/3 and 7/9).

What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Chaos Dwarfs? Where?!

I'm actually kinda bummed I don't have you, Lord Chaos, or a number of the other guys from the other half of the division in my schedule. Hopefully I'll see you all in the Playoffs...

Games 5 & 6 down... 2 more wins.

The first game against a chaos team was a bit of a blowout: 5-0 on the scoreboard at the end. The Chaos coach was having a fairly bad day and his dice just wouldn't cooperate. I rolled a 2 for winnings, rerolled it into a 1. Still, not much to complain about. Blitzer #3 picked up Side Step, and my Runner picked up Leader.

Game 6 was against Orcs, and I managed to seal it up at 3-1. The Orcs broke armor all night long, but couldn't land anything harsher than a stun. He had me worried the whole time though... my Runner slipped on the first turn when dodging and nearly died. The Apoth patched him up though, and he ended up in the reserves box instead of the pine box. Rolled a 1 for winnings, rerolled it into a 2. Not catching many breaks post-game :P Blitzer #2 picked up Side Step.

I bought my 3rd (and last) reroll after Game 6. Again I got super lucky on the injury front - One BH in game 5 and no injuries (aside from the runner/apoth situation) in game 6. The team is looking really good going into game 7. See here: Vermillion Dread

Game 7 is against the chaos team seen here: Cult of Cthulhu. I'm not too worried about this one - though the inducements are going to suck. (Sorry Sub!)

Game 8 is going to be ROUGH though. This Orc team apparently has a thing against Dodge: The Incredibles. Yay for tackle. I'll actually get inducements against that monstrosity, assuming their game 7 doesn't go horribly wrong.

Next up for purchase is likely my 2nd Witch Elf. It's tempting to get an Assassin to deal with my week 9 & 10 opponents (Wood Elves & Skaven) though.

If you go all the way to play offs (the way you seem to) stab will be useful, since you most likely will end up meeting quick blodgescorers with low AV, and you dont have any tackle on your team. And shadowing is an underrestimated skill, extremely useful against the quicker players of bashier teams (like breaktackle bullcentaurs for instance. If you stop them, chaos dwarves are pretty harmless)

But you are at a TV-range where, for DE, your skills/TV ratio are starting to become pretty weak compared to most bashy teams. I would suggest stopping att 13 players and getting more RRs until your TV/skill-usefuleness-ratio (phew! :) ) evens out a bit.

And if only getting one more player on the team for a while, I would suggest another witch elf.

Thus there is a point in time when you shouldnt.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. 13 Players is a decent Max while I'm facing teams without much Mighty Blow/Piling On.

The other option is pick up a Assassin and then when I've got the cash for a 2nd Witch just fire an unskilled Lineman (or an injured one, assuming my luck doesn't hold on that front).

I need to decide what to do with my Blitzers. The two with Blodge/Sidestep are pretty much done - their next skill will either be Tackle or Leap, but that's a ways away. The other two I'm not sure where to go with. Block/Guard/? and Block/+1MV/?. Dodge is an easy answer on both, but I'm not sure it's the right answer. There's not a ton of Tackle in the league (yet) but I've only got 7 or 8 more games (including playoffs) until I graduate into the "big boys" league, with fully developed teams built to kill.

I need to build some Tackle into my own team as welll... The Witch's next advance will likely be that or Leap.

I really need to work on skilling up my Linemen as well - I keep hoping that my MVPs will fall their way but it isn't happening.
