Bull Centaur 2nd and 3rd skills

Post by Malthor »

Hi,

The Bull Centaurs in my Chaos Dwarf Team have just gotten their 2nd and 3rd skills and I would like some advice on what to get.

My TR is 175, with 5 Rerolls.

Have Troll with Block.
3 Chaos Dwarves with Guard
3 Chaos Dwarves
Hobbo with Block, Kick
Hobbo with Block, Pro
Hobbo with Block, Dirty Player
Hobbo with Dirty Player
Hobbo

First Bull Centaur has Block (and a Niggling)
Second BC has Block and Break Tackle.

Thinking of getting Strip Ball for the 2nd BC, and Mighty Blow for the first. I use the 2nd BC as to Blitz the ball carrier. Any other ideas?

Thanks,

M

Strip ball is good for an earlish skill to get but becomes reduntant as players get sure hands for their ball carriers. Tackle is also good as a lot of people like using blodge players to carry the ball, so tackle helps you to get them down on both the block and makes it harder for them to dodge away. I am a big fan of anything that forces them to use a reroll early on. Then they will have to do harder stuff later without the rr safty.

But i would definatly say block and break tackle are the first two skills i always take on mine, unless i get a double or +st. I have ignored +mv in order to get block, they can already move a fairly large number of spaces. There is a team with 2 ag3 centaurs in FUMBBL atm and they are the 2 players with the most spp as they score all the time.

After that you can tailor them, use one as a ball carrier and one as a blitzer. The ball carrier can make great use of sure hands and catch on a double to reroll hand offs to him. Dodge is also a useful double for him. The blitzing one strip ball, tackle, mighty blow.

I like Boomshanker Idea of having one BC "offensive" and one "defensive". My OBC has Block, Break Tackle, Catch and will pick Sure Hands or Dodge on a double (maybe Stand Firm, but that I'll have to think about...). My DBC has Block and Strip Ball and will either take Tackle, Mighty Blow or Frenzy on a double.

So, I would go with Break Tackle or Sure Hands for the 1st one, Mighty Blow, Tackle or Strip Ball for the second one.

Break Tackle for the 2nd skill, and then either tackle or strip ball for the 3rd skill (depending on how many S Hands or Dodgers there are in the league).
