I can see cases for all the options that have been presented.

Though vamp teams are very skill light early on and as such I think tackle would probably be more useful.

You have lizardmen up next so it will be great against them (unless he gets injured after getting hit and they break armour with an 8 roll lol)

not sure what your other opposing teams are though

Against the lizzards this guy will not play, since he was injured (MNG) by a Snotling landing on him the last game , but as I remember AV8 wouldn't have helped.
The next matches will be humans and high elves then dark elves or orc, so tackle is indeed very useful, but I'm not so sure about "wasting" a stat-increase.

You wouldnt be wasting it. This isnt a +St or +AG and the odds are that the thrall wont survive all that long anyway.

I still think MA7 is a big deal, but if it's AV8 or a skill, take Block. If I'm just not remembering right and he has Block, take MA or Tackle.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

In a similar team I took move and planned on using her as a downfield reciever or safety as needed. Five + games later and she has picked up almost no new SPP. Granted, this is a small sample size, but movement hasn't helped as much as I would have liked. I really thought I'd get a few scores from her, but so far she's still scoreless.

Ok, the thrall already has block, right? So we know he's not just an expendable pile of flesh. Never take +AV on a thrall with no skills is my motto (it has very few applications in the real world, sadly.)

+MA is a good pick up, you can get to more places to perform your blitzes or TD's. +AV let's you live longer.

What are the best options among your normal rolls? Fend , Frenzy, Sure Hands and Kick-Off Return. Tackle? Decent Skills, but nothing to write home about- tackle and Frenzy are better with Block and you do need them eventually.

I think you can't go wrong in this case with +AV or +MA. Personally, I'd be tempted by Frenzy as well. I'd finally go with +MA though- getting to more places with a block player is excellent on a Vampire team.
