Wich team to put vs. chaos for a 2 person "league" ?

Hi all,

I'm playing a lot vs a friend of mine and both of us want our teams to develop. We dont have a league as such, more a "when we have time we play" attitude towards our games.
Recently we've begun a new string of games (hopefully) and played some matches.
He's taking chaos to the pitch, I was using Necromantic but want to try something different now.
Both the teams are not really developed (a few skills here and there) for now, but we might take them to TV 200 or something, then retire them and try again. Whatever suits our timeframe actually.

So, what would be a good team to field against chaos ? I was thinking of Darkelves myself. I am still not really getting the whole AG4 thing (i.e. probably too conservative) when I play "whatever" elves, so this will be a good training.

Or Chaos Pact, or Chaos Dwarves ? Might as well go for maximum chaos then...

I just want to field a team that is fun for BOTH coaches to play with, and against. All help will be appreciated !

Dark Elves.

You want something that wont thrash chaos early on and wont be butchered horribly once the teams are developed. Dark Elves arent ideal but look like the best bet out of the three teams.

Almost nothing because of the extreme development curve that chaos has. High elves might be your best bet though.

Definitely Dark Elves.

I actually did the equivalent of what you plan recently. A coach in our open league wanted to start a Chaos team late in the season. I put out a Dark Elf team at the same time in order to give him some opposition. So we have played a few times now. The matches have all been very exciting and down to the wire. The match up is even - we have gone Win/Draw/Loss IIRC. But the main point is that these teams have given us very enjoyable BB from the word go.

As a general principal of Blood Bowl, I find that match-ups which have the greatest contrast lead to the most enjoyable (and sometimes wild) games. Looking at the teams you propose, Chaos vs. Dark Elves is the most contrasted (and interesting) match-up.
