AG4 Orc Blitzer, what next?
After two games with my orcs I have got an agility 4 Blitzer!
I also have two blitzers with Guard and a Black Orc with block.
As I'm hoping my Blitzer will now be doing a bit more scoring I was wondering what I should look to be picking for his next skill up. Obviously Dodge woyuld be great if I can get doubles but what do people think I should be looking at on "Normal" rolls? Strip ball perhaps...

My brother had the same "problem" recently. He had a MB and +AG Blitzer who went up a skill before our game, and after a little talking, I recommended Stand Firm. And I gotta say, it was pretty damn annoying in the following match.
Whatever you take, I'd probably look into tooling him out for offense and scoring. Sure Hands could be nice depending on how much Strip Ball there is in your league.
And Dodge on a double.

really hope you roll a 10 for +MA... nothing more annoying than facing a 7 3 4 9 Block Orc.... he is like a well armoured Dark Elf Blitzer, which on a team armed to bash is a great asset

I would agree with what has been said already - dodge on a doubles, and give Sure Hands some serious consideration.
I would also agree that Stand Firm is a good choice, this will allow your blitzer to run up the sidlines withless fear of getting crowdsurfed.

Another advantage of Stand Firm is that you can use him as a cage-front. Run the ball with somebody else, and this guy can both protect the carrier from upfield blitzes and serve as an outlet even if single-marked.Craigtw wrote:I would agree with what has been said already - dodge on a doubles, and give Sure Hands some serious consideration.

Congrats on the lucky rolls, by the way. 7/3/4/9/Block is awesome.

Well actually he is still 6/3/4/9 Voyagers was just saying how nice that stat line would be if he did roll the 10.mattgslater wrote: Congrats on the lucky rolls, by the way. 7/3/4/9/Block is awesome.

Oh. My bad for skimming. In that case, only take Stand Firm if that would have been the plan anyway. If you haven't considered Pro, it's great at AG4.

Re: AG4 Orc Blitzer, what next?
I'd be looking initially at standard blitzing skills - tackle, strip ball, mighty blow. This guy is going to be able to get places others cannot. Otherwise maybe more of a runner route - which means sure hands to counter strip ball as much as anything.
The other option would be pro which helps with all those dodges & catches that otherwise you'd need a double or TRR for.

Re: AG4 Orc Blitzer, what next?
Thanks Guys,
As it turns out I haven't Scored any more with this guy yet (though he has cuased one casualty) as I was trying to spead my SPP around abit. after playing a few more games I now have two AG 4 Throwers! I think this is the most agile orc team I've ever played.
Because of this I don't think I'll need sure hands on the blitzer as the throwers should be able to keep the ball if the oppent has lots of strippers.
However our leage has numerous "dodgey" teams Skinks and goblins plus a wood elf team that is understandably taking lots of dodge too. So perhaps Tackle is the "right" choice next...
