Flamebowl Humans - TR110
Well, time to plan my team for this years Flamebowl. I think it's got to be humans again. We're trying to do well this year and I usually do well with the boys. I want to try Puggy out again, so he is in but need a bit of help filling out the rest. thoughts so far are:
A:
Ogre (Guard)
Puggy
4 Blitzers (1 Frenzy)
2 Catchers (2 Wrestle )
Thrower (Leader)
3 Linos
2 RR
B:
Ogre (Guard)
Puggy
3 Blitzers (1 Frenzy)
2 Catchers (2 Block)
5 Linos
3 RR
1 FF and 1 skill point
Just not too sure which one to go for. List A gives me the extra bitzer, but a bit thin on the line and fragile with 2RR and the leader.
List B loses the 4th blitzer and sure hands, but the catchers get upgraded to block and 3RR in stone.
Any of your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go for roster 2.
Someone told me MB was three points. Looks good value. Maybe put it on two blitzers.
I'd put Juggs on the Ogre too for three points.
Couple of wrestle linemen would be cheap.

If you have 1 point left for a skill, Kickoff Return is a bargain on a Catcher.
I'm not sure myself that Puggy is better than a Blitzer and a reroll.

I would also say puggy is not as good as a blitzer and a reroll (or a 13th player), but I did watch Barney score a one turn TD with him against me at Monkeybowl...
Assuming you're going with Puggy, I think you're going to need 3RR at least.
I think you'll find a Juggs Ogre important so you can use your him with more freedom.

Cheers for your help guys.
As I said, Puggy stays for now. I want to give him a few more games to see how he gets on.
juggs ogre sounds a bit dubious to me, means your blitzing with a big guy, which as we all know is never good!
Think I may try out a test with the follwoing roster:
Ogre (Stand Firm)
Puggy
4 Blitzers (2 Guard, Frenzy, Tackle)
6 Linos
3 RR

Learn to embrace the big guy blitz
TBH I think Humans are one of those teams where you need to use your bug guy aggressively - like skaven.
How much is strong arm? Could make the puggy passing play more reliable???
(especially if it's only 1 point)

What build did you opt for in the end Barney? Any changes in hindsight?
