Dark Elf Blitzer Development
Hi there,
i just need some advice for the development of my 4 Dark Elf Blitzers.
All of them already have blodge.
The first one has an AG of 5 and Leap. Giving him pass block next for using his AG most effective?
Second one has Dauntless. Dont know what to give him next. Tackle?
Third and fourth just got their second skill? Which one to take? I think i ll need strip ball or tackle? Cause of High Elves, Wood Elves and Skaven in our current league. (also Humans, Chaos and Orcs)
There are also 2 witches in my team. I m planning to give one of her tackle, she already has diving tackle and block. The other one already has block, dauntless and piling on. Is this okay? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I've got a dragon warrior with AG5 and leap too. I'm planning to give him dodge as his next skill for the protection. He is an extremely annoying player to be up against so he he is always the main target for my opponent. Otherwise I'd give him strip ball. That way he will be the perfect cage buster.

Fine start thereVorTeX wrote:i just need some advice for the development of my 4 Dark Elf Blitzers.

Passblock is nice...but don't expect a lot of interceptions...people will just generally avoid throwing the ball anywhere near him (which is as good as ints if you're ready for it)VorTeX wrote:The first one has an AG of 5 and Leap. Giving him pass block next for using his AG most effective?
Tackle would be great, pro is also nice for him in case he flubs the dauntless roll (or anything else)VorTeX wrote:Second one has Dauntless. Dont know what to give him next. Tackle?
Sidestep would be a nice skill for when you don't know what else to give them...makes them that much more annoying, and helps keep em alive. Tackle is always good, Strip ball is okVorTeX wrote:Third and fourth just got their second skill? Which one to take? I think i ll need strip ball or tackle? Oooh I'd never give Piling on to a witch elf. She's begging to get fouled and you have better stuff to do with them. I'd have gone with mighty blow. Makes her cause almost as much pain, and a lot safer. Also I'm not impressed with the new diving tackle...if it works for you great. I'd go with things like tackle, pro, leap, and sidestep...doubles get dauntless or mightyblow.VorTeX wrote:There are also 2 witches in my team. Diving Tackle is not bad for a WiE because they already have Jump Up. Combined with tackle it can seriously ruin a poor catchers day.
Shadowing is another skill you may want to consider for one of your blitzers. Combined with tackle it again makes life hard for catchers.
Strip Ball is not a bad idea, but it seems to diminish in usefulness as the league progresses and the only people who handle the ball for any length of time acquire sure-hands.

Either Strip Ball/Tackle and use him to leap into cages for 1 die blocks. Or Sure Hands and then he can get the ball most places, and makes a good runner.VorTeX wrote:The first one has an AG of 5 and Leap. Giving him pass block next for using his AG most effective?
Pro. Then you can increase your chances of making the dauntless roll. Not too many S4+ dodgers around (unless you are playing with Stars). Tackle is also good with that many flair teams around.VorTeX wrote: Second one has Dauntless. Dont know what to give him next. Tackle?
Tackle on both. Also consider side step - its a really annoying skill to play against.VorTeX wrote: Third and fourth just got their second skill? Which one to take? Side step. Then you don't have to worry about ending up next to the side lines when putting people out.VorTeX wrote:There are also 2 witches in my team. Hi there,
Mhh, yep of course if i use piling on with my witch she is begging for a foul but on the other hand it works great till now. Of course i mostly use piling on when having my apo or a healing card. And on a dark elf team its the only way to get rid of those AV 9 ST 4 guys and espacially the big guys like ogres and tree man. With the combination of jump up i think its playable cause of not loosing your block and MA next turn. And with dauntless it works well against those hard hitters. Just have to watch that there are enough lineman to give her assists when she gets fouled. And if she gets fouled by a DP and not taken out then she gets up and blocks the DP next. Like i said till now it works well. But you re right its always a risk to use this skill.I definatly think the piling on was a mistake, with my witch elves a gave them side step to help keep them alive
