Several players of my local league, running big fat teams from lrb 4, were complaining that they can no longer affords to play with their favorite Starplayers anymore, and can't really use inducements at all (although they're not close bankrupt either).
That's why, after several attempts, I came up with an idea of a permanent addition for BB teams :
Sponsorship contract :
You need to pay 50,000 gold pieces of negociation fees (which value is added to your TV) for each Sponsorship Contract you want to sign.
Each Sponsorship Contract allows you to spend 50,000 gp on Inducements (see pre-match sequence). Any of the gold that is not spent on Inducements is lost and may not be added to the team treasury.
There is no limit to the number of Sponsorship Contract you can negociate, however the sponsors tend not to associate themseleves with losers : if you lose a game, an if you roll a double on your popularity roll, then one of your Sponsorship Contract is cancelled (and the money lost).
So, what do you think of it ?

I think this was banded about years ago as am idea.
Best used as a league House Rule.
I like it in general, would have to see how it played out over several league seasons.
Might change it to spend 75'000 for Sponsorship deal, but guaranteed 50'000 per sponsorship. Otherwise too powerful.

I would even be harsher then Pug. It should cost 100 000 GP and give you 50 000 in inducements and after a loss you should roll for all sponsorship contracts and have the potential of loosing them all.

Indeed, this "purchase" seems too good (but don't be too harsh : remenber it counts towards TV and Spiralling Expenses).
Yet, i'd don't really like the idea of an element to be more expensive than his "in-game" value.
That's why i'm looking for a more subtile way to reduce the Sponsorship effectiveness.

OK..How about this...using elements from your original idea with a few others similarly found in the BB rules.
POST MATCH ~ "Popularity Roll"
Won the Match
Roll two D6. Any result other than a double ~ Nothing happens the team is not approached by any potential Sponsors.
A result of a Double on the dice the team manages to acquire a Sponsor (Make up a name!) Roll a D6 (x10'000gp) to work out how much the deal is worth and record on your team sheet. No team may have more than 4 Sponsors at one time.
You may replace Sponsors with better deals rolled. Delete the Sponsor from your team sheet and replace with new Sponsor and deal.
Increase the team TV by 2 points.
Drawn Match
No Sponsor ship deals will be made.
Lost the Match
Roll two D6. Any result other than a double and the team keep hold of their Sponsors. A result of a Double means that a Sponsor has doubts about the teams future and with draws their support.
Randomly select a Sponsor from your list on your team sheet. This sponsor is removed permanently.
Reduced the Team TV by 2 points.

(Yet, I don't really understand the "+2 to TV" part : do you mean :
a) add Sponsor value +2 to your TV or
b) add "only" +2 to your TV for each Sponsor)
However, i don't want this rule to give benefits to "winners" only.
(my league is quite small, with a huge difference between good and bad coaches/teams, which means some coaches/teams don't win often)
An easy way to fix that would be to change/add opportunities to acquire a Sponsor :
for example :
_ each time one of your player reach 31 or 76 spp, you may acquire a new Sponsor : rol 2 D6 ....
