purdindas - I'm beginning to think Underworld are a bit good. That's probably because my team hasn't been destroyed yet

Their not a bad team. With 3 mighty blow the team packs a real punch. You just have to be ready for when one of the big guys inevitibly fails a bone-head/really stupid/wild animal. This will happen on average once every 2 turns.

Re: Looking for Chaos Pact advice
When I started, I didn't take the Mino. I have tried adding him later, but he has a horrible tendency to die on me (I've gone through 3).
As such, I don't find them very necessary.
I started with with Ogre, the Troll, the Delf, and 8 Marauders and it has worked out just fine. The gobbo and the skaven are still possibilities, but I don't "need" either one of them.
I've actually found it easier to manage two BGs instead of three. The Mino in particular tends to hog the blitz which is often sub-optimal. Not having him actually opens up options for me.
Just one more opinion.

1st game of our league yesterday, my Pact lost to DEs 2-1 in a close game. He consistantly floored my guys with 1 die blocks and I was only getting pushes when I rolled two
. I picked up block on my DE and an apothecary (early big guy death would suck). Going to save up for the Minotard now, my next opponet is Nurgle.

Re: Looking for Chaos Pact advice
So now my DE has Blodge after a 2 TD, 2 CAS outing.
And my Rat has +1 Agi after a 1 TD, MVP performance. I was originally planning on the Wrackle/Horns route for the Rat, still a good option or a waste of the 4 AG? Or is he going to die before it matters? Also, having a tough time finding SPP for my Marauders when it is so easy to score with the renegades, any advice?

Use the renegades (esp. Blodge boy) as cage-forwards, to help score with Marauders. Also, option plays may help.
Congratz on the +AG Skaven. I'd say give him Block next just to protect him and push the real decision-making forward a few games.

+ AG on the skaven = amazing!!
I say continue to use the renegades as your ball carriers. They are the satrs of the team IMO.
Wrackle horns is not a bad combination for him TBH because he would make a really good blitzer/safety. I'd say take block instead of tackle though if you want him to double as one of your ball handlers. If you get the chance to boost his armour then take it. Dodge could also be a good doubles skill.

Now the Skaven is 7447.
Again, everytime a Marauder was in scoring position I blew the needed roll (turned what was almost a 4-0 game into a 2-0). Yet the renegades stomped all over people up and down the field. Even had my first TD pass of the season on a DE--->Rat bootleg.

Going into the 6th game of our league I am W3-L1-T0 and have already had my bye week. I just added the Mino and Goblin after my last game so my roster is pretty much done. Next team up is dwarves and I am worried. Am I going to have to rely on big guys for cage breaking duties?

Re: Looking for Chaos Pact advice
So big guys make impressive cage breakers when overcoming massed guard, but if the ball fumbles its' way down the field and only lands in dwarf hands there isn't much you can do about it.
Watching the dwarf team dodge around and throw like elves was brutal to watch as well. And I play him again this season, least he is a nice guy.

I rolled a ten (non-double) for the skaven's next skill up. What would you give a str 4/agi 4/av 7 player next? I'm leaning towards Block for added protection, I will face some Claw at times.

7447! Man thats totally sick!!
I'd take one of the stat increases. Depends on how you use him though.
+Mv is alsways useful and would be even more useful if he is your ball carrier.
+Av would be useful if you used him to hit things and would make him a bit tougher and increase his survival chances. Normally I'd go for this.

It's hard to go wrong with block, but how do you use him? With the strength and agility boosts, I'm guessing he's great playing on the perimeter as a mobile safety on defence or a "final burst" player on offence. If you don't hit with him often, then go for MA8. Combine it with dodging on 2+ and he can weave his way across the field.mrmojoz wrote:I rolled a ten (non-double) for the skaven's next skill up. Hmm... after all that rationalization, I think block stills wins. He will not stay on the pitch long enough to leverage his boosts without help staying upright.

He tends to Blitz quite a bit. I don't use him as a dedicated ball carrier but he is my primary passing target and he ends up with the ball pretty often on defense.

MA or Block. +AV on a team is awesome, but +AV on a player is not generally what it's cracked up to be, because Murphy and Nuffle are the best of pals.
Can't go wrong with Block. You can go wrong with +MA, but you can also go right with it. Not sure which to recommend.
