What happened to the Cyanide game?
Ok, I am now confused.
I recently got into the TT BloodBowl because of the online pictures I have seen of the Cyanide game.
I now try to buy the game, and it says "coming 2010". Is that a new game? What happened to the one everyone else seems to be playing?
Thanks,
Piousman

Been out since June/July last year...
Edit - unless you mean the Xbox version, in which case it's out, but not in the US yet.
But if you mean the Xbox version, I think the advise is don't bother, at least yet.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Xbox version came out this past weekend in the US. At least they shipped mine and I've been playing it . . . perhaps I'm the only one. It's not quite as good as the PC game *, but it is still Blood bowl.Darkson wrote:Been out since June/July last year...

* There's some graphics items missing (people in the crowd, your players looks upgrading as they gain experience) but the big thing is no online league play. the only leage play o nthe xbox is against the mediocre AI.

That's giving the AI a lot of credit.Macavite wrote:the only leage play o nthe xbox is against the mediocre AI.

Re: What happened to the Cyanide game?
I just rented the XBOX version of the game for the weekend and indeed must say that graphically it isn´t nearly as nice as the PC version, even if the console really has what it takes to make it look like the PC version.
Another few things that bugged me, apart from graphics:
1. confusing. I had a few occasions in two player games where one of us ended up running towards the wrong endzone, especially after a coffeebreak. Marking the endzone in the particular teams logo would be an easy fix. I guess it was something not given any thought by the devs.
2. team colour It can not be changed?
3. AI is being silly more often then not, as if it´s programmed to let you win.
Otherwise, I enjoyed being able to play soe of the teams I do not own against a human player sitting next to me. Not nescessarily someone I have to connect to through internet. Especially for Bloodbowl I find that a benefit.

Definitely do not agree with this point, I think that is nit-picking. I would rather put the emphasis on your mistake in this occasion as the PC game, similarly to the TT game, people play at one end and get the ball to the other...simples!! (Exception being fummbl played sideways)the solitaire wrote:

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Re: What happened to the Cyanide game?
The 2010 version is the Legendary edition... It's a "new" bloodbowl game with more races (all except chaos dwarfs, underworld and chaos pact). It is NOT compatible with the version that is out now.Piousman wrote:Ok, I am now confused.

The xbox version doesn't have online play and is riddled with bugs. The PC version of the original version also has plenty of bugs but all support has been dropped in order to get the legendary edition out. There will not be any support for the versions out now.
Positive side about the xbox version is that there is an option to return the game and get the pc version instead :p
