A few weeks ago I posted my intention to start a lizard man team with 6 saurus, 5 skinks, 4ff, and 3 rr. There was quite a bit of opinion flung about as to weather this would work or not so I thought I would give you all an update.
My fist game was a draw against the Khemri, I probably could have taken them if they hadn't regenrated so much, The saurus were quite good at putting them out. I had enough money after the game to get an apoth.
Game two was against High elves, I beat them 3-1 and put several out of the game. Afterwards I was 10k short of buying another skink.
Game three I was brutalized by the norse. They put one of my saurus out on their first block and because it was only for the rest of the game I didn't use the apoth. Later I needed the apoth to save one of my skinks from a niggling injury. I played the whole game with only 10 guys and lost 3-0. I did however come out with a full team for my next game, I have a skink with AG4 (thrower) one with catch, and 3 of my six saurus have block. Best of all, I have enough cash now for either a Krox, or 2 new skinks.
On that note, I am planning tot get the krox and will update you again in a few games. Any comments? Suggestions?

On offense, I typically use a cage-like strategy with 5-6 saurus on or near the line and off center to one side. I then place my skink with catch and two more skink body gurds not too far off the line on the same side, and place my skink thrower (AG4) in back with a second skink to help protect him. I try to bash a hole through as quick as possible, get the thrower to get the ball and pass it to the catcher and he can be half way to the endzone if there is a safe path. It works pretty well and if things get hairy, the skinks and even the saurus are fast enough to pull a reverse and go up the other side.
On Defense, I will put 3 saurus on the line and three more spaced out behind the line by 2-3 spaces. Then about halfway back to the endcone I place 3 skinks together and two more together a few spaces back from there. I use the saurus to try and pound my foes and maybe to free up the ball is they can get to it and generally use the skinks working in teams to pick off any lone receivers or runners that get into my backfield. If the team is slow, I will not place so many skinks so far back but rather will try and set up a group of 3 that can flank into the opposing backfield to put pressure on the ball.
