Anyone play Cross Check?

Anyone here play the Cross Check variant and if so what do you think about it?

I like the feel of the core rules but I'm a little concerned about the team rosters and how the affect of low movement on a lot of the players will really hamstring certain teams since there's so few players on the ice.

I like that the two-line pass makes an appearance in the rules, hah. In seriousness, it looks pretty good, but I'm concerned that the game is too focused on stick handling. You have a point about the low movement scores, especially considering that the rink is the same size as a regulation Blood Bowl pitch...I can't imagine playing hockey on a frozen-over football field. Some of the game mechanics I quite like and others not so much.
