Re: Suitable existing GW minis for LRB5+/LRB6 starplayers
think quite a few people had that idea, i've got one waiting for the same treatment, not going crab like claws though personally
also going to remove the thingy on his head and toying with removing the rats from under the feet as well, possibly to use them as a turn marker or something
going to be quite a bit taller than the rest of a second edition skaven team otherwise, saves some space when he is prone as well

Just got my Seteh to use as Setekh for my Khemri team and I was expecting alot of converting, but with a bit of sanding, cutting and not using the cape it works perfect and looks like his arm (which orginally help a long spear) looks like bandages hanging off his arm.
So thanks again people.

Could try using one of the newer Necromunda "scaavie" ghouls with some green stuff to add equipment, I agree the strigoi looks too massive.Norse wrote:I'm not saying he's perfect, but the suggestion to use a regular ghoul painted a different colour really doesn't work for me either.. the strigoi looks kinda like a ghoul and is imposing, but still on a 25mm base...Brage97 wrote:For a strength 3 player? just my $0.02..

I have another idea for Roxanna Darknail:
The first Witch Elf from left:

Remove the dagger and use some green stuff to make a brass knuckle instead.

Hi all,
Here's my take on a miniature for Humerus Carpal:
Take one Tomb King Liche High Priest on Foot (the model on the right);
Weapon snips, remove skeelton at base, and replace right arm w/a Catcher's mitt.
You will end up with something lke this:

What do you all think?
Cheers,
Nestyr

What about Chaos player #1 (2nd edition) as a "Crazy Igor"? He seems to be the right guy for the job.
NB: And Nestyr I do like your conversion and am already stepping in your footsteps.

And this one (warhammer 40k, Dark Eldar, Kruellagh the Vile) will make a good subsitute for Roxanna Darknail

And to make life easier for one who doesn't want to spent that extra buck. Why not resurrect Tuern Redvenom as a Ithaca Benoin? The guy already has a deathmask and nobody will question it, he's a Dark Elf pur sang.

I defininitely think Lelith http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod900122a is perfect for Roxanna. Weapon snip followed by minor green stuff and she'd look the business.

I love it. I think Gaspez have some new skellies, and I reckon this one:Nestyr wrote:Hi all,

will make a good conversion with a mitt.
What do you reckon? Snip the lower hand or the raised one? Seems a shame to lose the spikey cuff.
I'll post it when it's done.

Top one, he is looking at it so it would be a natural catching pose

I hear ya, but the elbow pad also looks like it could be a bit tricksy. Will need a careful measurement of mitt length I think!

Re: Suitable existing GW minis for LRB5+/LRB6 starplayers
Waldor, tell me if this is just stating the bleeding obvious, but if you are doing a swap with an already sculpted catcher's mitt (such as the one in Nestyr's conversion), make sure it is the correct hand (right or left) before you cut up a perfectly good skellie!
Also, this thread's for GW minis (for use in GW stores). Would love to see the skellie conversion when he's done though

I reckon Drazar, master of blades would make a perfect Horkon Heartripper.
