you cant fit two ulfs and snow troll into a TV100 team, without gimping out your postionals, i feel that with all players with block is fine vs any bash team, even with lower AV, just make sure you do the bashing and try to avoid leaving your players in tackle zones when turning over.

skills would be ulfs priority with block then surehands then gaurds.

Too me the snowtroll seems to just be a liability vs most teams his claws are less effective then mighty blow, and the chance of him going down due to no block is just too high, however in a TV110 team he is good for tournys like thrudball.

Can't agree with you about that.

Without MB?

Put it on him. See him open orc and dwarven armour on 7 :orc: .

Last match, my ST killed a stupid treeman that was spending his time in an elven team. Just add enough assists, and strength 5 suddenly becomes strength 7. 3 dices vs. ST 3, and with frenzy. And claw. And MB. Mmmmm.... :)

Another thing people usually forget is the Disturbing Presence. The same elven team failed a pass thanks to it, hehehe.

I would use snow troll, 2 ulfs, 1 berserker, thrower, runner, 5 linos. Just 11 (and trust block). 2 RR and FF/cheerleader.

Skills.- leader for thower, dodge to runner, MB to ST, block to both ulfs.

Get used to manage frenzy and crowdsurfing. And don't be scared of 1 d. blocks.

For my comment on this, I''m going to be generous and say balls out.

That is almost exactly the team i took to the GT in 2008, except i took guard on the snow troll.

I managed 3/1/2 which was ok, but the second game i lost was largely due to getting a kicking early on. I'm not convinced the snow troll is worth the money at that TV and think a 2nd runner and 6th lineman would have made the team more competitive.

2 Ulfs

3 rerolls
Looks great to me!

Why not:
Dirty Player
Block (Ulf)
Block (Ulf)
Sure Hands
Tackle

In your order of preference..

DP is only "bad" against dwarves really, and even against them you should do ok as long as you remember to get those assists. You're probably facing a lot of 11-12man teams in a 1M tourney anyway.

I'll have a go...

Snow Troll
2x Ulf
1x Berserker
8x Linemen
2x Reroll
1 Fan
1 Cheerleader
1 Coach

I'd give Block to both Ulfs first, no doubt about that. Skills #3 and #4 are Mighty Blow on the Berserker and Sure Hands on a Lineman. Very sure about the skills, not sure in what order I'd take them. Skill #5 is tough. I have no experience with TV100 tourneys that don't give a 'double' skill. I'd probably give Mighty Blow on the Snow Troll or Frenzy on a Lineman.

I am with Pippy on the Snow Troll, he's invaluable on the team, no matter what team value. And he's your best way to victory vs Orcs. But I think he's good enough as he is, so Juggernaut feels a little 'wasted'.

I'd go for a Cheerleader and a Coach over a Thrower. RR denial trough kick-off results.

1M? I like a Snow Troll, 2x Ulf, 9x Lino, 3x TRR, 1x AC. For skills, I'd take a MB Troll, Block Ulf, Block Ulf and SH Lino, but I can't speak to the order of selection.

Slight modification of Joe's roster :
2 Ulf 220
1 Runner 90
10 Linemen 500
3 rerolls 180
1 FF

SH Runner
Block Ulf
Block Ulf
Kick Lineman
Tackle Lineman

Of course, I'm not going...and if I was I'd either be playing Orcs or Humans.
(Is there really anyone who owns a GW Norse team with 10 painted Linemen?)

I took the team i orginally posted to the GT:

2 Ulfwerener 220
2 Beserkers 180
2 runner 180
6 Lineman 300
2 Re-rolls 120

I came 27th with 4wins and 2 losses, i would have came 9th but i got a -10points penalty for writing too many linos on my team sheet, even though i only used 12 players. I lost one game to the person who won the GT, and lost another game to chaos dwarfs on the 2nd day because i was extremely hung over ;D

Going to thrudbowl in 2weeks time and taking:

1 Snow troll
2 Ulfs
2 Beserkers
1 runner
1 thrower
5 linemen
2 reroll
3 ff
