Fumbbl LRB6?
Hi all,
I've been browsing the Fumbbl forums, but can't get my head around what the situation is re LRB4/6. I've never managed to play a game previously, partly because it being LRB4 put me off a bit, and partly because I'm happy with Pbem, but if there was a good LRB6 client that would be a big draw. Is it now LRB6, and can someone point me to an up to date idiot's guide?
Will post on there too, but thought this might be useful for people on here who haven't fumbbl'd before.
Cheers,
Mike

Re: Fumbbl LRB6?
Lrb6 client is still In beta on fumbbl.
Played my 1st game yesterday, and I'm very impressed.
Some bugs to iron out, but seems promissing.

The programmer is very dedicated, and there is a large bank of testers.
It will be great when it is done!
And remember, it is The Fantasy Football Client.

Re: Fumbbl LRB6?
Assuming you have an account on FUMBBL already, its as simple as making a team and playing it! All the client information is stored online, so you've nothing to download to get it started. Just make a team in the correct division, find someone who wants a game (Use the Gamefinder page or the IRC chatroom), then click the link next to your team on your coachpage. One person picks a game name (An arbetrary word that defines your game), the other joins said game name, and voila!

Hopefully won't be long before FFB becomes available for leagues etc.
The new client is great, I'd urge anyone who hasn't give it a try to have a go, far easier than BOTOCS/PBEM/javaBBowl. And there are some great noises.

Someone shouted 'Boring' at me when I was stalling last weekend - it really confused me at first!

The new client has been really well put together so far. I think when it's all finished it will really have been worth the wait and the site will pick up momentum. Kalimar is a legend!

Re: Fumbbl LRB6?
If you haven't had the chance to try it yet it is well worth it. Kalimar is doing an amazing job. For a game in beta it is very stable and just lacks a few (9 of 75) skills. Check out the Game Client forums at fumbbl for updates.
Here are the release notes so you can follow what skills are missing and what's what:

Edit re: noises : The sound of a flying 'fling or gobbo is worth the price of admission alone. And new ways to heckle while spectating are always welcomed.

Re: Fumbbl LRB6?
Those teams are still around, but as to whether they will be converted to the FFB (LRB6) client is not known. That will be up to Christer. There are numerous lengthy threads and suggestions, but nothing official.Maverick wrote:just out of interest is there a particular league to create new teams in and what happens if you have an old account ( that hasnt been used for about 2 years :O ) will those teams need to be renewed ?

Re: Fumbbl LRB6?
Yeah ive played a few games with a new necro team(who'd have guessed)
had problems due to graphics card/ OS back in 2008 so left fumbbl for a bit now getting back into it with this new client and I must say I'm impressed
