I guess it probably depends which team he is playing for. I also presume that it is a normal first skill, not a double (otherwise Block sort of screams out at you!).
He can only take Agility skills, so there isn't much choice:
Since a gobbo has Stunty, there is little point taking Leap, especially as your AG is only 3.
I can't see Diving Tackle as a first skill choice as most people are going to be hitting the gobbo rather than dodging away.
That leaves Catch, Diving Catch, Side Step, Sprint, and Sure Feet.
If it is a gobbo catcher-type playing for an orc team, then Catch might not be a bad choice, possibly followed by Diving Catch.
If its on a gobbo team, then Side Step probably is the best choice, and Sure Feet probably comes before Sprint.
Hope that helps with a tricky one!

Catch is a solid skill for either team, as you can throw or hand off to the gobbo semi-reliably. Sidestep could also be a good choice for a Goblin team. On doubles, I'd take Kick or Sure Hands.

I think it depends what "assignment" the Gob has got on your team. If he's the guy you hand the ball to so that he can go "high into the air" then Catch is great for that blown hand-off. Side-step is wonderful for making
your opponent have fits while trying to nail the player out of his tackle-zones.
This means when doubles appear, you don't always grab Block.
