Re: Flame Bowl III Team-mates
Mind if I trash talk? Too late...
So yeah I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the line-ups this year, particularly Team Pincock.
Nano-knob - Undead
Chode to a Grecian Urn - Wood Elf
Baby carrot - High Elves
Ion dick - Skaven
Also can't wait for Captain Stick to show the others about team spirit, inspirational leadership and camaraderie (most of the other teams can't even spell it). Stick says retaining our title is a sure thing. Who could argue?
Btw the mighty GBBL will be bringing two teams this year: double the misery for the gormless dregs who dare to stand in the way of the Geordie Juggernaut.
Kiss my chuddies! X

Easiest way to get rid of one of the GBBL teams is to give Pip 3 pints, thats them down too 3 players

Re: Flame Bowl III Team-mates
I heard the Geordies might try to win it properly this year, rather than relying on the draw and bonus points to do the job as they fail to beat either of the real top two.
So there will be no threat of a repeat.

Mr Magoo you have a lot to learn about winning tournaments. Beat who you are drawn against; get more points than the other teams. It's a simple equation.
Watch and learn at Flame Bowl my friend.
For ever pint I drink, Captain Stick will be producing a pint of sweat to maintain the team's equilibrium. We've got that one covered too!

I'm British! I have no time for the vulgarity of winning. I'd much rather have the best record and something to moan about, it's a classic combination. With any luck I'll be able to queue as well. I'll uphold taste and decency whilst the other three do the winning bit, Jim's cool with vulgar, afterall.
Not that Geordies could ever understand taste and decency, mind…
How many ringers amongst these two teams this year, anyway?!

What's this? Lycos isn't from Newcastle?
We all know that last year the Geordies got so utterly thrashed by us (3.5 v 0.5) and White Isle that they got to play a team of stunties twice over and got loads of free points. Well done, big hand clap on that achievement guys ...

Re: Flame Bowl III Team-mates
Actually Dave was born in the Chinese quarter of Newcastle-on-Thames (a little known village in Berkshire).
But seriously, the wingeing doesn't suit you lads. At this rate you might as well change your name to Team 'Sour Grapes'.
I know it's hard but you should find some positives to focus on, that's what Captain Stick does. It's a winning formula.

And I know all about your distaste for winning......Pgoo wrote: I have no time for the vulgarity of winning.
The only real competition at Flame will be between Geordie A and Geordie B, the rest of you are just there to make up the numbers.

*Looks forward to seeing the GBBL members in bet losing attire*
Good thing the banter has started this early, reminded me we need to get this ready in plenty of time!

So a Waterbowl team will be attending then? Go on, give us a chance to return the favour. Bring it on!

Re: Flame Bowl III Team-mates
Pretty much every other team there will be made up of Waterbowl members.
Hope you don't feel outnumbered...

Re: Flame Bowl III Team-mates
Yet another tiresome diatribe from Scunthorpe's leading Waterbowl groupie, Joemingey.
Not sure what I find most pitiable about the Waterbowl self-love affair... Could it be the charmlessness? The bitterness? The Manchesterunitedness?
Probably all three I'm afraid. Guess it just makes victory sweeter when it arrives.

Re: Flame Bowl III Team-mates
Just to keep the GBBL updated: We’re currently deciding between aprons (lots of space to write on) or bandanas (cheaper, we don’t want to have to spend to much money on you chaps) as your garment. Could I have final numbers as soon as possible please don?
