While the intent is always there to end up with a full rosters, since the positionals on the HE team are not overly pricey, still I can't recall every getting there. I normally start out without Catchers. Only with a thrower and 2 blitzers. That way my lineelfs skill up a lot quicker and give the team a better foundation. The next 2 players are normally Catchers, than a reroll, than depending on the development of the catchers, the third catcher or second thrower. Normally I have some nice ST4 or AG5 lino at this point that plays like a positional plus the kicker (also a lino) and therefore I normally stop at 3 catchers as I don't want to fire anybody. The second thrower I treat normally like a lino, who also goes to the LOS, if need be.
The Catchers are very nice players, but I have one hard rule: never get another one as long as the others on the team do not have at least 1 skill, since 2 non-skill AV7 players on the field are just too much of a liability. I also roll with 14 players. 3 out of 4 games they all won't be avaiable, so I don't really see it as TV bloat.

Agreed. Once a league develops, any Elven teams should see many games with 1 or 2 MNG players.soranos wrote:I also roll with 14 players. 3 out of 4 games they all won't be avaiable, so I don't really see it as TV bloat.
