Dark Elf Blitzer 7349
My Dark Elf Blitzer got a 10 on the skillup (not double). He is 7349 and it was his second skill (16 spp).
What to take:
+AV (73410)
+MA (8349)
Skip it and take:
Dodge
Side Step
Tackle

Re: Dark Elf Blitzer 7349
I would follow the logic of the first skill pick and take +1AV for a 7-3-4-10 Blitzer.
I have not tried AV increases on a Dark Elf team (I prefer to take +1MA on the positional players, and ignore all stat increases except ST on the Linos). However, I did try AV increases on a High Elf team, with at least 2 Linos with +1AV. Although they had their uses (primarily on the defensive LoS), I became frustrated with this strategy and felt that I would be better off with normal skills such as Block and Dodge. I did not try a "full" +AV strategy, as I did not consider +AV on the positional players.
The main issues with +AV, I found, were TV bloat and the delay in getting the normal Elven skill mix (Block, Dodge, Sidestep). For the individual players with +AV, their development seems to get slowed quite a bit (probably because without Dodge, they will be less mobile and get few TDs or PCs; for Linos without Block, they will get fewer knockdowns and hence fewer CAS).
But I see nothing wrong with experimenting with +AV on the DE or HE teams, my only suggestion being that you would need to follow the strategy for all players on the team (this would at least help solve a perennial problem of the DEs: player turnover). It makes the LoS more durable (definitely so in my experience), and it means failed dodges have less injurious consequences. I have just one word of warning: Claw!
All the best and let us know how you get on.

I suppose I would say MA if you had taken the MA first time round
9 3 4 8 Block is a better player

He is now 73410
I will se if it pays off. This season there is only one player in the division that has claw.
I'm going to wreckless with him! Using him for crazy dodges and to tigh up the few piling on players.

...at the moment? He'd go straight to the top of a Hit List for our League, hehe.stashman wrote:This season there is only one player in the division that has claw.

Why? He's only 7/3/4 with one skill. He's just almost impossible to hurt. So what? It would matter if he were a game-changer. Of course, putting effort into hitting him might make him into a game-changer....Ulthuan_Express wrote:...at the moment? Yeah, if you're AV9 and 130k, neither AV10 nor Dodge is a bad way to spend a skill: Get Side Step at 31, and you'll have a guy who can nail a square down hard. I'd probably take Dodge, but the novelty value of AV10 is hard to ignore; in a perpetual format, I'd consider it. I generally stay away from +AV on a player who isn't super-critical on my team: it's a good #4 on a player like this. Otherwise, he's just expensive and seldom-hurt.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Who said a Hit List had anything to do with effectiveness? Any AV8 player with +2 armour just deserves to get flattened.mattgslater wrote:Why? He's only 7/3/4 with one skill. Re: Dark Elf Blitzer 7349
I guess I haven't played anywhere near enough BB to want to try putting +AV (let alone +2 AV) on a D.Elf Blltzer, but will be curious to see how it goes.
As you've taken the armour, I'd follow up with Dodge (to make him even tougher) then Side Step then Diving Tackle. I wouldn't bother with Fend, with AV10 who cares if they reroll the armour roll? I also wouldn't bother with the offensive skills as he's already gone down the defensive path, though in a very strange way.
Given his unique stat-line, I'd have him man mark tough, important players. Letting them either smack him or try to dodge away. Hopefully he'll be able to take one or two out of the game by keeping them in his tacklezones. As Slater pointed out, he is a nice target for less savvy coaches and might distract them enough for your other players to take advantage.
I'll laugh my ass off when that one Claw player kills him

Hunting my AV10 player.
A weak dark little treeman for the dark elfs
I will play next game against high elfs and there is two mighty blow players, and one also have piling on. I will tell you how it will go for my weak little dark treeman, becuse he will be close to thoose players all the time

I'd put dauntless on this guy next. . . make him hunt big buys since he can go toe to toe with them.

Last game vs. High Elfs.
My AV10 blitzer was standing next to his piling on/mighty blow guy when he got the chance. That pilinog on guy didn't even wanna waste a block on my AV10 player so he hunted others, "forcing" him to dodge out and hit others.
The game was lost 1-2 after overtime in the 24th turn
Next time my AV player will go up against an "old" khemri team with "real" mummies!!! I think he will hold a mummy for him self. Thats not the division I play in, but a "champions league" where winners from last season plays.

The only thing I've learned with AV10 is to never Go For It. Twice, now, I've had Treemen casualty themselves thanks to GFI. The worst was when he then broke his leg and suffered a MA bust.
