Orc Blitzer Agi 5 what now???

Hello Everyone!

So i play in a League of 10 Players and i got this Orc Blitzer with Guard and +Agility. Now he got a Level and rolled 11.

Without thinking i gave him the Agility (Now 5!!!) and i dont know was that the right think to do? And if yes what should i do with him? He will play next Saison again in this League.

So my Team is pretty undeveloped :

Gobbo Sneaky Git (has paid off so much indeed)

Mostly i ran obviously cages with the Thrower in the Middle and guarding like crazy. So some people had advised to make the Agi Blitzer my Ballcarrier but for some reason i dislike the idea.

Any suggestions?

Pass to him every 5 seconds for as many TDs as possible, then pray for doubles, and pray for Leap.

First, rejoice. Second, at 51 SPP get him Stand Firm if he doesn't double, and Leap if he does. AG5/SF/Guard is spectacularly obnoxious.

Tackle, for when you mess up and need to take the 3+ dodge into the cage , or run a blitz 8 squares away through 3 tacklezones on a blodger..

So Leap was my first choice as well, but i wasnt sure.

Iam not a fan of dodge since at later terms everbody has enough Tackle. So would you as well not consider it? Even though so many people claim it as a nobrainer.

This League is endless so at one point or the other its high Tv.

Never understood why Stand firm is so great besides that your cage is pretty unbreakable.

Stand Firm keeps your Guard exactly where you want it.

Dodge is always a no-brainer, as no team bar Dwarves will ever really have that much tackle unless it's a league full of dodgers.

I rather get sure hands on simple and leap on doubles then dodge, then pass block in order to maximize the AG5 powers

and of course he would become the ball carrier so that he gets as menay SP as soon as posible, and if needed he can be quite a good thrower with AG 5!!!

I like distributing that role. Besides, Stand Firm is a B skill in the Sure Hands track anyway. If he fails a pickup or catch, his zone can't be taken off on a push. If the bounce goes your way, he can't be pushed onto the ball to force a new scatter. You can always use a TRR if the pickup fails.

I could see an alternative role for this player as an Ace back, but even then I wouldn't give him Sure Hands. If the ball goes shallow, you'll want to pick up with a KOR Thrower and chuck to this guy. Pro? Nah. Even if you're using him as an Ace, Stand Firm is still the route to take, because once he's delivered the ball to the cage, he'll play a safety-valve role. Carnis advises Tackle, and that's also a good safety-valve skill.

To answer your question:

No, I don't think so. What good does AG 5 do once you already have the ball?

He should definately be the guy to fetch the ball, especcially if it is in tacklezones, but he should then give it to your thrower. Your thrower already has surehands. Then let him carry the ball up the field. With AG 5 and guard you can have this guy run interference for your actual ball carrier. . . Or break away from the cage to receive a pass if it comes down to it.

What you really need is a thrower to develop to support this guy. . .Nerves of Steel. .dump off, etc. An orc Cage with a dump off ball carrier, and an AG 5 blitzer nearby. . . I can't think of a much tough cage to crack than that.

In many ways, the thrower still makes the best ball carrier. However, the AG5 blitzer makes for a fantastic reciever. SKill them both up with coimpletions for one and touchdowns with the other. Also, don't be afraid to cage with him. THrowr in the middle, Ag5 in the cage. They bust it open, you hand off and he recieves/dances through tackle zones to score.

And I second the dump off. That's just hilarious

I like the Idea of combining Dump-Off/NOS on my Thrower and "Mighty Uegoth" being the reciver and roadblock-leaperguarder

So if he survives : Leap, Dodge on Doubles Standfirm/Passblock on Normal rolls. MA would be awesome as well Now iam dreaming.

Anyways i was thinking i case of an off-fieldball at Kickoff to give the Ball to my Bobs and make completions to levelup quickly for Block/Guard.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned frenzy for a non-doubles roll. (I love frenzy, especially on a very mobile player.)
