Cards in Deathzone

Hi all, just wondering if the cards in deathzone are all the cards in the free pdf rules from granny?

Nope, they're completely different. The death zone cards were so much more fun , but would be deemed utterly broken in the current ruleset

i am hoping to get a copy soon, why are they so broken?
surely if each player can use them they hold no particular advantage?

I think the cards were a lot of fun. However, if you want a fair competition, leave them out. Their effects are much too strong, they add a huge luck factor and in a close match the luckiest person will win, not the best coach. That's why people call them broken I guess. What I liked best about them was bluffing you had a really awesome card in your hands. What I liked least was that there were at some point some very strange teams in the league. But actually that was more in 3rd edition + death zone than just the cards. The cards were only part of it.

And now I'll just join Darkson (you'll understand why after a few matches)
